Thumbs up Support Group Meeting

Hi everyone!
I wanted to let you all know what a wonderful time I had at my first support meeting! It was so great meeting so many special people...YOU and finally seeing those I've seen only in pictures, face to face. I really appreciated how genuine everyone was and how informative it was as well. I've only been out 6 weeks and hearing everyone's experiences made me feel very supported and safe in knowing that everyone goes through the same things. I'm only sorry that I didn't get to join you guys for dinner, as my husband had dinner waiting for me. Next time, I'll be there.
GREAT NEWS! My husband received approval for his initial consult with Dr. Callery! We're very excited for him and have finished filling out his paperwork. Soon he'll be one of us!

Thanks to everyone that was there last night as you truly are an inspiration to me!

Default Support group meetings...

I don't know how anyone goes through this process without support group meetings. I hear of people that have no/zero support. Their doctor does the surgery then they're on their own. How unfair! I learn something every time I go.

And it's because of YOU, that makes it successful! Where would we be without each other?

Irela,

I don't know if I got the chance to meet you but I wish I had. Congrats to your husband on his approval for the consult.. the rest should go smoothly. I'm really happy for you both. It is so nice having someone in your life that understands the surgery and/or has been through it as well. Stuart and I are each others support, cheerleaders, and critics.. I wish you both the best of luck.

I know this place is amazing. You hear on OH where so many post ops are left to basically fend for themselves and wind up getting conflicting information from so many different people with different post op protocols. This support group is amazing, I feel lucky to have all the guidance that Dr. C and Dr. P's office provide. Lucky us!!!!!

I will like to know if I could join you guys in your support group meetings. I got my surgery done a month ago in Tijuana, Mexico, and my doctor has nothing like you guys do. I really want to be around more people like me, and know what they are going thru too. Please let me know what I can do to join your group. I really want to know your guys experience as well.

Talking Thanks!

Thanks everyone for your kind words and support towards my husbands first steps. He's been such an angel in supporting me through my surgery and soon it will be my turn.

As for Vero, anyone is welcome to the meetings. It would be great for you to get the support that this group has to offer. Everyone is so kind, supportive and real!

Thanks again everyone! xoxoxo
