Default I'm post op and i'm home!!!!!!

Had my op last Saturday and flew home today.

I started an advised pre-op diet 2 weeks before the big day.Day of the op they had me on the scales and i'd lost 8 kilos! I was gobsmacked...lol.
My surgeon has been an absolute darling throughout, and so supportive.

As for the adjustment...well i've just never been so aware of my stomach before....so many different sensations! Prior to surgery i always drank 2 litres of water a day....but my god 2 litres of fluid generally is such a challenge now. I figure don't run before i can walk, and just build it up day by day.

Welcome to the LoSINg side Jules, glad you made it safe. OK clear this up for me 8 Kilos is how much in pounds. Is it 17 pounds? Taking a wild guess. Water is an issue for everyone when you first get out, it is a process you develop with time. Keep us posted, nice to see you back.

Default Welcome to the Loser's Side!

Welcome back home, Jules! I bet you are so glad to be back home. As my Dr told me post-op sip, walk, rest, then repeat. Sounds easy but that sipping part is a bear! I'm just 4 days post-op so I know the struggle to get those fluids down. Don't stress about it, though, it will come.
