Question Sneezing??

Has anyone else found that they sneeze at the end of meal since surgery?

Or am I just a freak?

Especially when I eat a little too much!

whats up?

I sometimes sneeze, but find that I hiccup like a drunk if I eat too much.

I read about this in one of my WLS books...you're not a freak. It is just one of those weird things!

In my family there are a few of us that have always sneezed like 3 or 4 times when we were very full. Since surgery I have not done that except once at a time when I felt like I ate too much. I have no medical explanation for it, but I can attest that it happens.

I hiccup too but didn't know why. I usually belch while huccuping so that makes for a good time!

Rain,
Yup count me in too! Not everytime but it does happen if I eat too much.
Mostly I notice that when I am full my nose starts to run like crazy. I have to keep tissues in my purse because of it! It even happens if I am drinking a smoothie or a starbucks drink and getting full off it.

In maintenance... now I'm yo-yoing up and down 10 lbs or so. I'm trying to find out how to stay at a set weight, it's rough.

This one has a medical explaination. Your stomach sits right under your diaphragm. When you dilate your stomach it irritates the diaphragms causing a spasm or hiccup.

I guess I don't feel so weird!

Glad to see I am in good company, but I think if it is happening more now, than I may be over eating and need to be more aware of when to stop, although I am still losing after 1 year out, albiet only about a pound or 2 month, but hey it all counts!
