I had weeks when I lost nothing. I know someone who didn't lose anything for 2 months, but went down 2 dress sizes. So, you can still lose inches even if the scale doesn't go down. Keep trying on your smaller clothes. I waited too long with some of mine and had to give them away before I ever wore them. Congratualations on your success so far!

Red face Everyone Goes Through It

I don't know if this will help you or not to realize that we ALL have these weight loss stalls periodically. Below I copied a thread I posted on June 12, 2004--when I was six weeks post-op. Does it sound familiar???

Hey, groupies, I need your input. I have a feeling that I'm at a plateau, but I just didn't think I would be there this early in the journey. I lost about 25 pounds really quickly after surgery, like everyone else does. At five weeks, when I was given the okay to eat "real" meats, i.e., chicken, beef, turkey, my weight loss slowed to about 3 lbs. a week. In fact, it seems as though my whole digestive tract has slowed.

I have been at 217 on the scale for about 9 or 10 days now and it's driving me nuts!

Have any of you been in a similar situation? I guess I just need to hear someone tell me that they've been there and that one day soon, the scale will drop!

Any information you can provide would be appreciated.

The good news is that I lost all my weight. You will too! So there is hope for everyone!

Default I completely understand!!!

I am about seven weeks out as of two weeks ago I'd only lost 30lbs myself. I was very discouraged, however, I had to stop and be greatful for any thing that was lost! I work in a hospital as well and I'm constantly on the go taking care of my patients. I thought that the weight loss would be greater And everyone keep telling me that It will come. So I'm learning that it isn't in my time but in gods time. We have to learn how to not expect immediate gradification after all that is what got some of us in the situation!!!
