Default Bad Day - Good Result

Yesterday, I had one of those days. By the end of the work day I was totally frustrated and stressed out! So I did what I used to do, pre-op, head for the grocery store to get my favorite comfort food, cheese and crackers.

When I got to the store I looked at all the cheese selections, but I couldn't bring myself to pick up any. I kept thinking, "No that will make me dump". So I ended up walking out ot the store and went home and ate a couple of sugar free popsicles. I'm here to tellya the Tool works! Just the thought of dumping prevented me from pigging out on cheese and crackers. It's a step in the right direction.

Good for you John....great way to use your tool. Cheese and crackers would make you dump? maybe the crackers, but the cheese?

High fat content makes me dump. And soft spreadable cheese has a lot!

Default Oh Yes Cheese

I had a few bites of low fat cheeses here and there, so....when I didn't feel like fixing anything one night after a long day...I just grabbed so of my husbands cheese and ate a few ounces. That was my first hurting/ dumping experience. I too am glad high fat content makes me sick.

Default Sugar Free Popcicles

Thank God for fudgecicles. They really save me when I'm craving that sweet, chocolate thing! Since I have a sweet tooth, this really helps! Keep it up!

I'm 3 weeks out and have only dumped once, and hopefully it will be my LAST! ucky stuff!!!!

Thumbs up Hey there stranger

I am proud of you for seeing the power of your tool. I don't dump off cheese but I would think the SF popsicle was a better choice. It is so easy for us to fall back into old behavior when we get stressed out or overwhelmed. I am proud of you because you could have found something else to stress eat on but better yet you walked out the store. Before surgery I am sure that might not have happened. Nice to see you posting.
