Need some input, I am crazy lol
I am wondering what everyone had lost at their 9 month mark and what was your starting weight?
I feel like I am behind! I will be 9 months in 1 week and 2 days and I am down 103. I still have about 95 to go. I don't think that it is realistic for me to get there before my 2 year mark, I have 15 month left.....
Anyone have suggestions on how to boost me? Anyone else lose about what I have in 9 months and till lose 100 more by 2 years?
Please don't just read this and move on lol, I need answers before I drive myself crazy. I have never told any of you this, but I get on that scale at least once, sometimes, twice a day. I really can't take it anymore, I am about to break down!

I think 100 plus pounds for 9 months is awesome! I know how you feel though. The past 2 weeks I have been feeling like I am never going to make it under 200 and I will be a failure at this.

Probably not the answer you're looking for, but THROW THE SCALES AWAY!
You shouldn't really be weighing yourself any more than weekly.

It took me a year to lose one 100lbs ... I had my surgery on September 21, 2004... I plateau there for about a month and lost at a rate of about 3 pounds per month... But since January 2 ... I have lost 11 pounds and what I did was added 30 minutes of was of walking every day and stop the white bread that I was eating. There are about 10 people at my job that I know who have had the surgery.... and everyone really loses at a different rate based on health and age... one co-worker was very heavy lost 220 and has not llost since and she still weighs about 250 and its been 3years and she walks faithfully... another one started at 250 and now weighs 125 but she is only 25 years old youth on her side she looks great. so everyone is different I started at 415 and now Im 295 and Im so excited by that... but my goal is to lose another 150. My mom had wls she weighed 280 to begin she is at 160 and cannot get under that and she is 5' tall...my brother had it and he started at 522 and is now 417 and its has been 8 months my aunt recently had it she is 4 months out and has lost 80... so as you can see we all lose differently.... but your weight loss sounds great don't give up you will get there.

Megan I know you have heard this time and time again, you can't compare your self to anybody else. There could be a lot going on in your body that is not going on in the next persons body. Sweety 103 pounds is great in my book. I think what you had set amout of weight you wanted to lose by now but you have to remember that our weight loss can come to a hault a couple of times through out our journey. When you lease expect it the weight will start to drop again. As long as you are sticking to your surgeons guidelines you shout be good. 15 months is a long time from now, a lot can happen in 15 months. Stop beating your self up. Give it sometime the weight will come off. Big hugs sweety. I am looking forward to that post where you let everyone know you finally made it to goal, after all the hard work.

Hugs
Lots of people feel like you do. Maybe its because the weight just falls of at first, now we have to start working at it. My doc says the only known plateau buster is more exercise. He tell us at support meeting to kick it up a notch.
I know at almost 6 months out the things that tired me before are just not enough. So I ordered a new workout video. I got a new suit that is a size too small hanging on my closet door. My husband moved it. I put it back and told hime its my inspiration. Throw away the scales. Put a smile on. Your doing great!

I'm right there with ya
Megan, I think we are real close with our numbers. I had lap surgery 5-3-05 and have lost 101 pounds at almost 8 1/2 months and that is after hitting a plateau for almost 2 months. I started at 350 pounds and am now down to 249. Due to life circumstances and some health issues last fall I didn't work out at all for about 4 months. I just went back to my Curves and am doing their 6 week challange. I dropped 7 pounds my first week. So hopefully I am back on track. I don't consider myself a fast looser either. Hope this helps.

It helps more then you know! I no longer feel alone lol.
When I do the math, if I have 15 more months to lose, I only need to lose 5 pounds a month, that's not so far out of reach!

You can do it!! I've slowed down already too. I lost a lot my first 2 months, now it's only 1-2 lbs a week like a normal diet. I just try to stay focused on eating healthy and remember that our bodies attempt to level out and such. If you follow the basic rules you'll get there in the long run. When I get discouraged I pull out old pics.
