Default Need suggestions

Ok Peeps,

I need a little help. I just cannot seem to remember to take all my vitamins. I do pretty well in the AM, it's the evening ones i forget on almost a daily basis. WTH? I get so caught up in cooking dinner, or laundry or playing with my Noodles (my Pug) or Derel. I just completely space out taking them. Is there a trick to this.

My intake is i will take my morn multi- sometimes my calcium. Most of the time i remember to take my iron, and Vit C, cuz i do this ALWAYS before i eat my lunch, or i get these horrible burps (sorry TMI) So, i am missing 2 of my 3 calcium at least 4 of the 7 days a week. And maybe 3 days out the the week i dont take my multi's twice a day. Only once at least.

I dont want to have problems down the road. Do you smart Peeps have any suggestions? I never have been good about taking pills....sept Birth control, cuz i always took that right before bed, like clock work. I just cant make it work with my Vites.

Danette, you can and you have to make it work! I'm bad about the remembering so I keep all my pills in 2 seperate pill keepers-pink for the AM, blue for the PM. I keep them on the coffee table at all times. That way they are staring me in the face all day long. Plus, if you keep on track with the pill keeper and make sure you take the right day, you won't have a doubt whether you took them or not. They don't make my house look like a magazine, but it keeps me on track and that is all that matters. I take calcium at bedtime and keep them on my nightstand in another pill keeper. You just need to find a place to keep them where you have to see them all the time. You can do this!!! Hugs!

Maybe if you tried to tie it to someting you do EVERY night. Like, do you take a shower every night (some take them in mornings is what I meant)

If you take your shower every night, put your supplements in your bathroom. That way when you are reaching for all the other stuff the vitamins can become part of your routine. Just an example.

Default remembering meds

I have always taken meds at least 2X a day, so for me this is easy. I use an AM and a PM pill keeper, with 7 slots. I keep them in the bathroom and usually tie the act of taking my meds to brushing my teeth. It takes like 27 times of doing something for it to become a habit. A timer, your alarm clock or even your computer can remind you, too.

What do you do right before bed? I wash my face and take out my contacts. For a while to help remember my PM vitamins I would tape a baggie with my vitamins to my face wash bottle.
