Smile Protien drinks and gas

I had my surgery 6 days ago, and I am trying to add protien drinks. I am lactose intolerant, so milk stuff gives me a problem, so I have been trying to find a protien drink that tastes good that doesn't produce gas. The gas hurts!!!! My surgery was laproscopic, if that matters. Most protien drinks are made with whey and I think that is the problem. I tried soy based drinks but the taste is horrible, even when mixed with soy milk, or water. Any suggestions would be helpful!

Personally, I gave up on powders.I could not find a single one that I didn't want to gag on. I generally only drink the AchievOne coffee drinks now for a protein drink. 20g in one and they taste goooood.

Here's a link about vegaterian types of protein.....non-dairy and non-soy will be hard to find, you may have to search around. I saw some goat milk protein powders and pea powders too during a google search.

Try Unjury protien powder. Its the best tasting I have tried. Mix it with Lactose free milk and that should take care of the gas problem

I've heard alot of good about Unjury, but is ordering them online the only way to get it? I have issues about ordering stuff online, I'd much rather go to a store and get it.

Jenny...

Places like GNC, Vitamin Shoppe and Lindberg Nutrition probably either have it, or can order for you to have on stock...after all if one person is clammoring for something, how many others in the area are?
