Default Feeling Pretty Bad

Hello everyone,
I have been feeling very weak as some of you may know. It started 4 weeks ago with very low iron levels and as the days have passed, I found out that my Thiamine (B1) and Beta Carotene levels are extremely low, too. I also had to go to the ER the other night and had to have an IV of Magnesium due to having abnormally low levels. I feel very discouraged and weak. My primary care doctor ordered more labs today because he thinks my electrolytes are still out of whack. I feel like I am going to fall over at times, my finger tips are numb and I have no desire to do anything in fear of passing out. If anyone has had these symptoms, I will take any advice. Sandi, my podmate has given me a lot of info and foods to eat that are high in Magnesium. I appreciate your support. Thanks

Smile Hey sugar pea

Im sorry to hear that you are all weak n stuff.... I had my appointment with Kelly yesterday, did you call? I heard that Dale was on the phone... I asked if it was "'lil Dale" and Kelly said it was a different Dale...... I have been having some funny stuff going on to, you have numbness in your fingertips, I have it in my left leg along with severe cramping at night... so Kelly is running additional tests for me. I dont have any food choices to suggest but I just wanted to let you know Im kind of in the same boat and waiting for additional test to come through! Take it easy sugar pea and let us know how you improve... arent they having you take additional vitamins/supplements now?

Bridget,
Kelly has me on mega does of vitamins and I had to double up on B1, iron, and I had to start beta carotene. They are running so many tests between Kelly and my primary. I hope it will all work out ok, I just want to feel like I have some "juice" in my system. I have no energy and my complexion is very pale. I was on the phone with Kelly yesterday around 1 something, so it was probably me she was talking to when you were there.

I hope all of your tests come out ok. I am sure they will... Kelly is on top of things. Take care.

Default Dale and Bridget,

Best of luck in all your tests!

I've been feeling really weak, I was wondering what I should be doing differently. I'll call the office on Tuesday.

Thanks Kim.

I hope you find out why you have been weak. At your 6 week check up Kelly will go over all of this with you.

At first I thought it was just from losing a lot of weight quickly. That and losing vitamins and not getting enough iron have brought me to the sofa. I can't even go anywhere for long periods of time because I get dizzy.

Stay on top of how your body feels and what it is telling you.

Take Care

Christina,
I am not doing well. I am sliding by and making it. I still do not have my normal face/body color back. I have also slowed down on the weight loss. I actually gained weight when Kelly sent me to the ER last week for the IV. They really pumped me up with Magnesium and fluids. That helped for a day and then I went right back to where I was before. My body is resisting me and I feel like I just have to fight to make it through the day at work. I know things will get better and I just hope that it will be soon. I am reverting back to popsicles and lots of fluids, not helping much, but at least I know I am hydrated. Thanks for worrying about me Christina. You are a sweetie! I will keep you informed of any progress.

Dale,

I'm so sorry to hear that you are still not feeling well. Truly I know the feeling, but for different reasons. I'm just starting to feel "normal" or whatever normal is. I'm 5 months out and I sure do hope that it doesn't take you that long to feel good again. I can empathize with you though.. know I'm here for ya girl if you need me. I know how much it sucks when everyone else feels wonderful and you still feel like crap!! But hang in there girlfriend.. I will always worry about you.. you're my friend and to me that's the duty of a good friend.. to worry when there is something wrong.. I love ya girl.. hope you are feeling better soon.. you're in my thoughts..

I know you went through so much misery and I feel like you had it much worse than I do girlfriend. I know you know how I feel and I am thankful for that. Thank you for being such a dear friend and being there for me.

Talking Misery

Dale,

Truly I don't remember the miserable times anymore. I guess it's like that thing that makes us forget the pain of childbirth, so we have more huh??

I never had to be re-admitted to the hospital or go to the ER so I am thankful for that. I just feel for ya girl.. I know I could say something really wise and profound right now like "this too shall pass" but who knows how much time it will be before you feel good again?? I just want you to feel better. I never had the weakness or anything like that, so I don't really know what you are going through. However, I still have yet to have ANY blood tests since my surgery either.. so who knows what my levels are. As good as I am feeling, I am thinking that I am doing pretty darn good.

You're such a sweetheart and I hate to see you suffer like this.. wish I could just give you a hug right now..
