Default Vista Vitamins

Hi everyone
I would like to know if anyone else out there takes the chewable post-op vitamins from Vista Vitamins. I started them the week before surgery and started itching and breaking out in hives after a day on them. Quit taking them before the surgery, my surgeon says its probably just the coating on them but there is no coating! I started taking them again a few days after surgery and the itching started again! I have 4 bottles of them sitting in the cupboard and I dont know if I can return them; they were expensive! So I'm thinking I'll just get a regular multivitamin and some B-12 today and switch over, I know I need to be getting my vitamins. Anybody have a similar experience?

I take the capsule form of vista vitamins with no trouble - I love them. I did by the chewable for pre-op but hated the taste! The capsules you swallow are tiny and I feel great on them. I believe they are not returnable as I wanted to return the chewable too but couldnt =(

Default returning stuff

usually you can return unopened stuff-still fact sealed. I like to shop Trader joe's-they take back ANYTHING-even if you can't tolerate the taste or texture. Costco takes back everything too.

I got my Vista Vitamins from Bariatriceating.com, run by Susan Leach who wrote the book Before and After. I highly recommend the book as a motivator
if you haven't read it yet. Anyway, I sent her an email and she wrote me back saying sure, send the vitamins on back, she'd give me store credit. By the way, not only did they make me itch like crazy, but they were chewables and you had to take 5 of them a day and they didn't taste too great to start with. I think I'll get some of the tablet forms with my credit and try those. I still don't know what caused it but I am highly allergic to shellfish, some people have said the iodine in the vitamins caused the reaction. I don't know, the surgeon said thats bull. But something was making me ITCH!!!
