Default Home today after 13 days- and pneumo

Got home today after 13 days in hospital for a "routine GBP". I got pneumonia about day 2-and was a pretty sick cooky for a bit. Now how do I start being home. I have all the prot. powders, etc and just looking at everything makes me feel overwhelmed. I have books, files, lists, etc and can barely consume, nor do I feel much like drinking anything.

Not in pain, here, tho, but now I am going to go look at my pills that I need to take and just want to collapse. Practically everything, every swallow causes reflux-I guess that will abait when my pouch begins to heal. Have already prior to surg. been on aciphex. Please send advice, strength, prayers, etc... Linda

As hard as it is, being home is 100 times better than the hospital. Is someone checking in on you? It takes time to get use to the routine. Take your meds and do the best you can.

Wink Prayers & Thoughts are with ya!

Prayers are with you dont feel so overwhelmed just take one day at a time try and get a routine down with the pills and powders and you must drink your water just remember that is very important and take care of yourself cause no one else will. Thoughts are with ya honey.

I don't think there is a "routine GBP". That is like saying "routine open heart surgery". We are a complicated bunch of patients and you had a surgery that is very technically demanding on the surgeon and you. Be so very happy you had a good doctor to see you through this and now can start the rest of your life. Just take it minute to minute. Make a plan and take care of you!!! Take a deep breath (that is good for your lungs too) and relax. You are stronger than you think!! Be well and let us know how you are doing
