Default Just checking in...

Hi everyone!

I've missed being around here, but haven't been able to be on the computer as much lately.

I just wanted to say that things are finally evening out for me ... I am learning what I can and can't eat, (not EATING much at all, yet) ... but my HEAD is calming down, too, so I think this just might work after all.

I'm really glad now that I had the surgery done. I broke 350 today, and that is THRILLING to me!! After being over 400lbs for so long, I didn't think I'd ever BE on this side of 350 again. I really thought I would be dead before this happened.

But .... NO!! God had a better idea, and I had my surgery on Nov. 9. Since then, I've lost about 30 lbs ... before surgery I had lost some, too. So, I'm down over 60 pounds from my highest weight, and I am THRILLED.

I'm on the treadmill every day, even if it's just for 10 minutes, so that I can at LEAST say I tried!

Thank you so much for being here, and for the support you gave me when I first had my surgery, and was SOOOOOOOO freaked out, thinking I was doing EVERYTHING wrong.

I've also gotten "hooked" on the unflavored protein powder from unjury.com , so I'm not having any trouble getting my protein in each day, so I'm feeling really good!

Thanks again for everything, and for reading this novel. I just had to let you know I'm doing good ... and I appreciate all the help getting to this point!

HUGS!!

It is good to hear from you again, Sue, and I am so happy to hearthat things are going so well for you!! I just ordered the Unjury protein powder to try since you can sneak it into almost anything and seems to make themost sense. I ordered sample packs of protein as well, but some of them are too sweet pre-op, so I can't imagine them post-op!

I am so glad things are heading in the right direction for you. It gives me hope that a person (like myself) who is a little freaked out right now, sees someone who felt the same way and is on the right path. I ordered the unjury unflavored as well based on all the glowing recommendations. Be well and keep us updated.

Thanks, guys!

Dyann ... freaked out is really normal. Let me suggest that you come here a LOT right after surgery, and post whatever is going on. It really helped me keep my sanity. (What I have of it, anyway ).

I thought I was the ONLY one who really didn't have surgery while under anestesia ... I felt like I was stretching my pouch, I thought I was doing everything wrong, and eating everything wrong..... but I got such sage advice and support here, and am TRULY grateful. I was downright scared that I was going to "break" the surgery ... then found out that was "normal", too.

I need to come here now more often than I do, and WILL be doing that. It is so nice to be understood, and there is just so much help and wisdom here.

Good luck on your upcoming surgery ... I'll tell you ~ each time I think "I'm on the other side of this now", my eyes well up with tears. It is SUCH a gift.

Hugs!

Wow, you are doing fantastic!! I love your attitude that you can do a little of exercise. My old life was filled with all or nothing thinking, and I need to switch over to any little bit helps. I'm glad to hear you are doing so well and feeling so good. It's also great that you found a protein powder you can live with. Keep up the good work!

Sue I am so proud of you. You go girl. I does feel great to reach a weight you never thought would happen, and sweety I am here to tell you it gets better. Big congrats on the 60 pounds you have lost and the many more pounds you will lose. I commend you for getting on that treadmil everyday. I don't care if it is for only 5 minutes you are making an effort. As time goes on you will be able to increase your time on the treadmil. Keep working that tool.
