Default Awww disapointed at my latest Surgeon visit.

Well, i had weighed myself a week or so ago on my grandma's scale.. its a junky peice of crap so i figured it wasn't right.. i was excited thinking i weighed 285, but that was near the end of her scale so i dont think it would of went higher regardless, but I'm at 314, which is like 78 pound loss in about 2 and 1/2 months so I'm still kinda happy about that.. guess losing over 100 lb's in 2 months was kinda far fetched..

Congrats...it takes 6-9 months for the majority of people to lose the first 100 lbs.

Casey I honestly think you are doing great. Don't let that be a reason to discourage you from reaching that 100 pound mark. Your not 2 far from that. Keep up the good work. Casey any weight you lose is weight that should be celebrate.

Nothing to complain about there, good job!

I'm avoiding scales other than at the Doc's office, home scales aren't that
reliable and I've found discrepencies between my PCP's scale and the surgeons,
so I'm sticking with the surgeons just for consistancies sake.

You are doing great! Don't get discouraged! 78 lbs in 2 months is freakin' awesome! I weigh myself at work on an industrial scale (they use it to weigh parts) it is off about 3 lbs from the docs scale. Do not weigh more than once a week! You'll drive yourself bonkers! I try to weigh every two to three weeks at the most! I don't have a scale in my home or I'd be nuts by now. Well, more nuts than usual!

If this is true....wow...I thought it was about 100 lbs in a year or so. I know everyone is different, but this would be great. I personally have 145 lbs to loose to a high ideal ( just around the BMI of normal to overweight) My doc says to expect about 100 in a year, but after that, I probably wouldn't loose any more. I don't know how happy I would be only loosing 100 lbs total as this would still keep me in the obese category.

Is there a thread for everyone to post their weight loss along with the time frame? Maybe we should start one!

Guys lose super fast though.. I lost 125 pounds in 6 months! That may sound cool, but you have no idea how much of a drag that was. Having to re learn life, eating habits, socialism that fast. It wasnt all fun let me tell ya.

Casey you're amazing! The amount you've lost in such a short time period...I'm in awe! Even if you're not where you thought you were, look at where you were 2 months ago. You've come so far, you're a loser, and you're a success! *big sappy hug*
