I threw up blood about a week and half after surgery. My pcp said it was a "bleeder" in my nose. I figured that it was post nasal drip that ended up in my stomach and with the stomach being so small now, it just couldn't handle it. Do you have allergies? Is is dry right now, maybe a Santa Ana? But otherwise, I would check with your doctor if it continues. I doubt (with all the experience your drs. have) that it would be from the staples.... But you never know, better to be safe than sorry.....!!!!

Well I called and he said I that because of the amount of blood and the fact that I have no pain I should be fine. I have an appointment on Thursday so I will see Dr. Wittgrove then. If I have any additional problems or pain I should go in to the ER. He just wants me on soft foods for a few days to be safe.

Thanks for the help guys!

JMO but i would think Absolutly NOT! Call you doc. Blood coming out of any oraphus, except a cut just does not seem natural. I would be worried, but then i freak over anything. Keep us posted.

Blood, not a good thing. Call the doctor.

You all speak of throwing up...is it like throwing up pre-op or is it like a spit up. A girl here I know spits up into a napkin and most of the time nobody would know what she is doing.

For me, it's like pre-op but without the icky taste.

Holly - any news? How're you feeling??
