Default Almost one year munchies!

Oh my gosh!!

I have had the munchies like crazy!!

I feel like I can eat so much right now!!!

Of course it is usually fruit and veggies for the most part but still, I am scaring myself.

In the early days I would get so full so fast and now I can eat alot more and I am so worried as my one year aproaches.

12-27 is the anniversary and I really want to be under 170 but I have been stuck at 175-177 for a while now!

I hope I do not stay this way , maybe the munchies are from all the pot I have been smokin'...... JUST KIDDING!!!!!

I think it is more hormones that are still out of wack...when will they chill out? I feel like a bucket of estrogen!

So my husband just read this thread as I was about to post it and reminds me I leave most of the food on my plate and not to worry, but I do, I am so happy with my new body and still have so much work to do.

Help me here staplahs!!!

Rain

It's normal to have feelings of freaking out over you dietary intake. The honeymoon phase is about over. You're in a normal weight range and the last 10-20 lbs are the hardest for normal sized people to lose. Your body has adjusted to a new way of doing things and has relaxed some of the restrictions you had. At this point, it becomes more about maintaining all that you have learned the past year and continue to apply them. When it starts to get rough, go back to the basics in the beginning. The pouch still works, but you need to sharpen the tool every once in a while. Also, the last 10 pounds or so to a goal weight is skin weight, which will not come off no matter how much you diet. My hormones is still a bit out of whack too. My body fat percent hovers around 18-20, which can affect hormonal balance. Your body needs some fat to keep the hormones in balance. Athletes tend to lose their cycles and young girls that are very active can even postpone thier cycles by maintaining a lower body fat count. The inital weight loss phase releases excessive amounts of hormones. It takes time to re-adjust. Then as we approach 40-50, it naturally starts to change anyways. Plsu, al the variables of life make it seem a bit more hairy to deal with issues that arise.

Rain I think emotions can play a big part on our eating. I noticed I have been wanting to munch lately and I am only 5 months out. Now that is way beyound scary. The holidays have me stressed out in more ways then one. I just try and bring a protein bar in my purse or some dried mango to kill my craving. Are you getting enough protein? I hope you meet your goal soon. It might just come falling off when you least expect it.

celery.... Im its latest fan. I smear peanut butter for sweet crunchy cravings or dip it in spiced up cottage cheese, smear with cheese, dip in buffalo wing sauce or whatever to satisfy my craving. I find if I give intot he craving, but make healthy choices then I dont obsess about it and do fine. When I stop myself completely I find that I wind up overindulging and dumping.

Best wishes pot head... theres truth in sarcasim ya know lol
