Default Salad

Hi Friends!
Could you tell me when we can have salad? I mean, even just a little lettuce w/some carb free dressing. My Dr was awesome but they aren't very good at providing information along the way. My surgery was 11/14/05 RNY. I have lost 26 pounds so I guess I'm doing about average? But I do miss a nice tiny salad. What about raw vegetables? I know I'm not supposed to eat nuts, seeds or popcorn until I hit the 3 month mark. Right now I seem to be stuck on tuna fish. Thanks for listening...I guess I'm feeling a little lonely & left out right now.

I think my doctor said no raw veggies until 3+ months. I'm dying for a little salad myself, it used to be my absolute favorite pre-op. I got yelled at by my nurse today for have 2 sticks of peeled celery. They went down okay and they were small - about 2 inches each.

According to my handbook, we're not supposed to have raw veggies until after 10 weeks.

10 weeks-3 months...almost the same but 10 weeks sounds better. I'll give it a try around January. Thanks so much for the info!

I waited 3 months before I had salad and I did fine. You will be shocked at the amount of salad you can eat. Freaks me out!

I am shocked at the amount of anything I can eat... LOL... I had four boiled shrimp the other night and thought I was going to burst. I used to be able to eat like a pound of them. LOL

Hey Cici!
I live in Enid (where the winds go sweepin oer the plains). My youngest daughter is in college in Bartlesville. Thanks for the kind words, I am looking forward to the journey and learning from my "sisters" who have taken the plunge before me.
Blessings,
Tami

I know it used to be shrimp coctail, maybe some baked clams and some antipasta, BEFORE dinner! Now a shrimp coctail IS my dinner! LOL
