Default Blood in Stool

I have had 3 bloody BMs over past 2 days with a very slight twinge of pain in my stomach. Almost 3 months out. Going to check with the doctor today. Has anyone else experienced something like this?

Thanks.

Mike~I did but I was still at the hospital when I had a GI Bleed.Glad your going to see DR.What color is it?That is something they will ask you.Is it all blood...blood clots...or just like ribboned threw the BM?

My whole bed was full of Dark blood and the toilet looked like a glass of merlot.Scariest thing I have ever gone thru.

Let us know how it goes...

Get int to see a doctor pronto! If it's bright red, the bleeding is from the large instestines. If it's coffee colored, then it's from higher up. You could also have hemmorroids. Better to get it checked out before you need a blood transfusion. Since you had that hard liquor, you may have caused an ulcer.

Hmm, it is bright red. I have had this off and on before the surgery and was diagnosed with "internal" hemmoroids. Hope that is all it is...But I have contact the doctors office.

That is concerning, good thang your checking in with your doctor. Better to be safe than sorry. You might wanna go in also, and get it checked out.

I had this in the beginning. I have trouble that if I drink or have a lot of dairy products my stool gets very hard and causes some small cuts and tears on the way out. I have dealt with it all my life.

When they increased my iron it gave me a hard time on the way out. I was bright red only when I wiped I know TMI. But I was told It was probably a fissure due to the hard stool and to let them know if it continues.

Default thanks

i want to thank you guys for being so candid. Adults need to talk about adult stuff sometimes.

They have told me to go to a local doc for a colonoscopy. I will give this a day or two to resolve and see what happens. After all, this did occur fairly often before the surgery.

thanks again.

Yeah, but unfortunately, as we get older, the meaning of "adult stuff" changes from "how much are you getting," to "how much are you going."

That said, I had similar symptoms a few years back, diagnosed as an anal fissure, which is just what it sounds like... had the colonoscopy done and everything.

If you haven't had a colonoscopy, Mike, a little advice... do NOT let them convince you to watch the monitor as they do the scope. Nobody should see their own butt from that angle. I was scarred for life.

All funnies aside, hope all's well. Keep us posted.
