Thanks sugar,
I hope it will go thru but I am not going to be upset if it doesn't. Having lost 171 lbs so far is more than I ever thought I could accomplish. If I have this saggy, melted wax belly for the rest of my life, it's all good. I feel like a million bucks and that's what matters!

Speaking of boobs >< Omg. I have gone from a DD to a B! Holy canoodles I havent been a B cup since the 5th grade.

This is all great info to know. I am going to take some pics of my skin rashes and breakdown now. Last night it was stinging so badly in the gunt (thx bridget!) area I was practically crying. Desitin /gag helped relieve the intense hurtyness but damn is that gross.

Thank you guys so much for the info. Even before my surgery (I'm 3 months out), I became obsessed with shows like Plastic Surgery: Before and After on Discovery Health Channel and Dr 90210 on E!. I've been wondering how difficult it would be to get the insurance companies to pay for the surgery--there's no way I could have it if I had to pay for it myself. Your responses have been very encouraging. I can't wait until it's my turn!

But, does anyone have any information about which insurance companies give easier times than others? I am about to start a new job which, coincidentally, is with a health insurance company. This company, while I was an employee of another company, approved my WLS with ease (no appeals). But, this insurance company does not cover WLS for its employees (I have a friend that has worked there for years, which is why I refused to leave my past employer until after my WLS). Am I going to have as difficult a time as I think I will?

I had Blue Cross PPO, BUT I dont think thats whats important. Document, document, take pics, take pics-thats where it counts regardless if you are working with a PPO or HMO. Best wishes!

Sue, my dear friend, document every bump and make sure your PCP is on board. When you decide on a plastic surgeon, go to your PCP and tell him you need a referral. I know all ins is different but the major decision maker for me (with the TT and wls) was my PCP referring me for these services. Good luck!

Ok everyone I need some help first off I need a good PS in or around Escondido or Poway that understands Gastric Bypass. I saw one and he didn't turn in the extra info the insurance company needed in the 45 days they gave him. That of course made me mad so I asked for a new DR. I got a referral for Dr. Gupta in Poway and I really do not care for him. His first words were your insurance will not cover this. I could not believe that because my tummy hangs down to my you know.

He spent the information in for a tummy tuck which is not actually what I asked for because I plan on having kids. I just want the skin gone. I have to by tight light panties to run in because my skin flops so much my husband can hear it running next to me. That had to be the worst thing ever when it happened by the way.

I need a good Dr. I have been reporting the lower back pain and things but now I am going to report every last pain and rash I get. I am tired of my back hurting everyday because I am working out to keep this cute little size 10 body I have fought to have.

Can anyone recommend a Dr. and I have written a letter of appeal should I wait until I see a new Dr to have all of this submitted with them or try to appeal it now?
