I bought some CL Sunrise (premixed) prior to surgery, don't really like
it unless it's very, very, cold, tastes powdery to me.
Tonite I bought some of that Jay Robb Egg White protein (vanilla) and
was trying to think what it reminded me of and Orange Julius is it!
What proportions do you use to make it come out like an OJ?
Thanks;

Unfortunately, I am VERY allergic to Orange Juice and things that are high in Vitamin C content. Throat closes up, canker sores, the works. I've even had problems with too much Kool-Aid! Unfortunately, I LOVE orange juice and oranges and sometimes I want a nice huge glass of OJ with tons of pulp but that'd be a death sentence. If I nibble on the little orange garnishes on my plate at restaurants I get sick
I've just discovered Tropicana Sugar-Free Orange Ade which seems to be in the same vein as Sunny Delight and such, it's like an Orange punch. I can still feel a slight acidy burn but I don't have the problems with the canker sores and stuff. So if anyone else has problems with high acid content stuff, check it out! I found it near the Coke products at Vons.

OK, so I gave it another try without being in the state of mind that it was supposed to be orange juice, and it's actually quite refreshing. I've had three glasses tonight.

I just use all orange flavor drink, ad the protein powder and ice... I add about 4-5 cubes then blend and then taste it until I likr the consistency.. I must confess I add a lil extra powder too.. not much, maybe 1/2 scoop. Adding strawberries to is yummy! When I add bananas to shakes its frozen bananas... when my fresh bananas start looking frail I stick em in the freezer to use later in shakes!
i hope this info helps ya?

My funny experience -- I didn't peel the banana before I froze it. I couldn't peel it once it was frozen, so I ended up having to throw it out.

Ok, out of the freezer, peeled, into a zip lock, and back in freezer.
Thanks for the warning.
