Default was feeling discouraged

I've been starting to get discouraged a bit. I haven't been able to excersize as much as I would like lately. According to the scale I'm holding at about a 50-56 pound loss. Don't get me wrong I'm real happy about that loss. Anyway, when I started this journey I was wearing size 50 pants. As of yesterday I put on a pair of size 40 pants. YooHoo! I couldn't believe it. They actually fit. I didn't think they would but I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you all for your support and encouragement over the last few months.

Hey Jim, you are doing a great job! Don't be so hard on yourself and just keep plugging along! Maybe you can up your exercise again soon!

Congrats on your success!

Hey Jim. I personally think you are on the right tack. Is there a reason why you can't exercise like you use to? You can still take little walks through out the day. Stay motivated Jim. Get you a board and post some before pictures and just follow your jounery with your post-op pictures. Put it somewhere so you can see it everyday. Keep working that tool Jim. Love the new Avatar.

Thank you all very much for the encouragement. We moved to a new place so now I only have my block to walk on. I was walking around 5 blocks. My road gets boring and I ahve a hard time convincing myself to walk right.

Great job on your weight loss, Jim! Are there other blocks you can walk on, or any schools with tracks around the foorball foelds, or any gyms. or any malls? Those are all great places to take strolls...

Keep up the great work!

I live in a little one light town with not much here. I'm thinking of buying a bicycle and riding on the bike trail. I'm a little afraid of it due to the stokes though. I use a cane to walk with. Not sure how my balance will be on a bike.

WEll I dwish you the best of luck, Jim, and I think its great that you have such a desire to excercise. It can be pricey, but how about getting a treadmill - you'd never have to worry about weather, you would have the bars to hang on to, and you could walk as long and as far as your little heart desires. The price could be well worth it in the end...
