Serious personal question
Ok guys here I am again with another darn question..Sorry
So as most of you know I have been doing very well at least feeling great since surgery on November 14th, 2005. This morning I woke up and went pee and when I wiped there was some pinkish blood any other ladies experience this? Should I be concerned? It was not alot but still made me a bit nervous.
Any help...

Honestly it could just be hormones but if it continues I would advise you to contact your Doctor to make sure if that is in the norm after surgery. I don't know if you menstruating because I know I did a couple of days post-op.

I've had blood in my urine four times in my life - three times it was kidney stones. The last time was a massive urinary tract infection. If you're worried about it, you should see a doc.

Thanks Denise. I wasn't sure if I could be menstruating this early on as I haven't had my period in over a year but the doctor did tell me that when I started to lose weight I would probably get it back but didn't think of that as I was so early post op but thanks for posting

HI Lisa,
Thanks for the post. I am pretty sure it is not a UTI as I have had many many UTI's in my life and I have no pain and do not have a problem urniating. Maybe what Denise said is right. I am over 4 hours from my surgeon but will call and see if I ask him this question. Thanks

It could be the start of your period. As a woman, you would know, so if you are unsure, I would talk to your doctor... Keep us posted as you will be in my prayers...

Thanks Whiteny. That is what Denise mentioned as well and as I posted to her I didn't figure that as I have not had a cycel in over 2 years. My surgeon did tell me he thought with weight loss I would get it back but didn't think it would be this soon but I guess it could be. I am going to phone him and see what he has to say. Thanks

If it isn't a period make sure you go get a urine test and let the doc see if there is an infection. I went for a routine check up and they found blood in my urine and started me on antibotics right away. I didn't have any symptoms for two days after the start of the meds.

I started mine the day I was discharged from the hospital, and it had been months. If it concerns you, definately ask your doctor.
