Default Saw the dietician today...

YAY. I get to start soft foods as early as tonight if I want. Also found out that I am down a total of 40 pounds to put me @ 404.

Any suggestions on a first food to try? I'm having such a hard time trying to make a decision.

I tried oatmeal first (sort of watery style) then baby food because I was dying for something green I bought green bean dices. They are super soft and have none of the stringy things that green beans sometimes get. It was awesome. Congrats on the weight drop! Your doing great!

Thumbs up Egg

Egg was the first thing that I chewed. I was so happy that I could have FOOD! I remember running (or a fast walk...lol) to the truck to tell my Dad that I could have food, and we got home and he made me a scambled egg. I still remember how GOOD it tasted. Of course I only had like three bites, but that was three bites of heaven!

Lightbulb Yes…….Fooood!!!

I know how you feel and just to eat soft food is great.
I can eat vegetable soup, soft fish (including scallops), bananas, apples, egg, yogurt, beans and other similar foods. I luckily haven’t had any problems. I hope this helps, but remember protein, protein, protein.

Welcome to the board.....and congrats on your weight loss. Those first tastes of soft food were a relief for sure. I loved egg drop soup during that phase.
