Felicia...Otherwise Known as Flea
Prayers for Felicia are needed! If you didn't read the thread "Complications: Donna aka sdgrrrl" then you won't know that Felicia is also under the weather. Below is an exert out of Felicia's post to let you know what is going on with her:
"Yesterday night I ended up having to go to the Emergency Room to get a Blood Transfusion, from tuesday when I had blood work done to wednesday when they called me with the reults to yesterday thursday my Hemoglobin had dropped from 6.9 (which is already low normal is 12.5-17) to last night 6.7 I went in because I was developing headaches, extreme fatigue and Dizzyness so needless to say they called my primary care Dr and she said yes give her the Transfushion she is symptomatic she needs it now. Soooooo
3 bags (pints) of blood later I am feeling a little better but just very very tired I didnt get home from the ER until 5:15 am this morning and I went in at 7:30 PM last night. Its was funny though cause I went to Pomerado and when I was lying in he bed I kept hearing Dr. Potts this and Dr. Potts that...I just paged Dr. Potts and then like an hour later he peeks in where I was and walks in and says I hear you are being a very bad girl...I was like well just low in iron so he came in and yelled at me the cool thing was he was there seeing another patient who had just had GBS and he said I saw your name on the board and was talking to the ER DR and he told me what you were here for so I thought I would come say Hi and see how you were...I thought that was cool he remembered me by my name its been a year and a half. He is an awesome dr. but anyways I am getting better I have an appt on Nov 16th to get the throat Ultra Sound done on my Thyroid so they can figure out whats going on in my Throat and also now they need to find out why my body is not producing the red blood cells like it is suposed to.... so I will keep you posted and if you could please do me a favor let the people who are not totally pissed at me for the war I started in the Christmas Card Thread I wont be back on as to not upset more people but I will keep updated and read the threads and posts when I can. Thanks for asking and please feel free to PM me anytime. Felicia"
I know Felicia must think that I am "totally pissed"...but I'm not. I wish her all the health and happiness she can get! So lets all pray that Felicia (or may I call her Flea if she can put our spat behind her) gets to feeling better asap!!!

Cindy, congratulations on being a grown up. We all have our spats and disagreements, thats what makes our world so interesting. I'm sure I have caused some stirred emotions on the whole Tyra issue but I enjoy the bantering back and forth. It was great of you to put things aside to wish Felicia well.
Felicia, take good care of yourself and let us know how you are doing. I'm sure you take your supplements regularly but this is a good warning to those that don't. Having low iron levels can be very dangerous. Hang in there girl, we're here for you!

Flea, you know I'm praying for you! This is a great way to put the ugly x-mas incident behind us.

Feel better
Felicia I hope you are feeling better soon. We now have a new evil thread..."Tyra Banks, fat for a day"...I think Karla and I are going to make everyone forget about the nasty little "X-mas Card" incident with our opposing posts

Felicia, please get better. And please continue to post. We'll miss you until you get back. Not to worry about these little spats... and, yes, the one on Tyra Banks is the worst one I've seen here
We're praying for you. Take care of yourself and get back here with your news as soon as you can.
You're in my prayers.

Ohhh, you guys are so funny. You should have all been on the board two years ago when it went up in flames. We all have opinions and as women, we tend to get a bit hormonial at times, at least I do. I have real issues with the whole "fat" concept. I have always loved myself and people loved me, no matter what size I was. I really mever experienced any of the really mean comments, etc. And yes, I was born and raised in California, so it's not all bad out here. We can get a discussion heated up and voice our opinions and as long as we can move on, it's all good. As long as there is no name calling and badgering, we'll all survive the different opinions. I myself don't mind getting into a heated debate with someone over an issue I feel strongly about and the Tyra Banks issue was one that struck a cord in me. I have spent my adult life raising a child and making sure that she understood that some people are different than others and it is NEVER acceptable to make fun of others. I feel proud that I have raised a strong, independant woman who would kick someone's butt to protect someone else. There is too much cruelty in this world, and the "fat" cruelty is just one that hits home with me. And it really irks me that our children are given such lousy food choices at school. What's wrong with vending machines that have fresh fruit, yogurt, granola bars, etc. McDonalds and Taco Bell are not a good alternative for our kids to be eating at school. So can we start a new debate here? Anyone???
Okay, all of you out there, we're all friends, we're all in the same boat... I say love one another and everything that person has to say! Later.....

On Topic
Karla, sweetie:
You know I love you. By the way, you look mahhhvelous, dahling, with your new tight bod. However, the title of this thread is "Felicia...Otherwise Known as Flea." Can we agree to stick to the topic of the thread and wish Flea lots of love and good feelings to deal with her health issues?
Flea, we're all thinking of you and hoping your health will bounce back to normal really soon. Big hugs to you.
