Default 6 mos post op w/ a question

Hi everyone! I am 6 months post op and was wondering how much everyone was able to eat at there 6 month mark? 1/3 cup? 1/2 cup? 1 cup? And people that are less then 6 months out, how much are you eating? I am just curious! I seem to eat 1/2 cup early in the day, then alittle more at dinner. It that weird? I was thinking maybe our stomachs expand alittle through out the day?

Hi Megan!! Well I am only 4 months postop, but I average 1/2 cup at a time. I can eat about 1/2 small chicken breast, 1/2 tuna sandwich, 3/4 cup raisin bran cereal, an 8-oz yogurt, almost a whole small tamale, 1/2 cup beans, but only 1/4 cup tuna with peas and sauce mixed in. (noodless tuna casserole)

I can eat lots of salad though, and mashed potatoes. I try to stay away though. I have noticed in the past few weeks my pouch capacity has gotten a lot bigger.

Yesterday I ate a little over 1/2 cup of lean smoked pulled pork, and the meat off 1 baby back rib for dinner, along with 1 small bite of cole slaw.
But then this morning for breakfast I made oatmeal with protein powder mixed in and I was full after about 1/8 cup. I am a little scared that I am eating too much.

I tallied up my calories for last week and I ate 1245 on one of the days! But my average for the other days was about 700.

I also noticed I can eat pretty fast, and take pretty big bites. Nothing like before, but I can finish a meal in about 15 to 20 minutes.

In maintenance... now I'm yo-yoing up and down 10 lbs or so. I'm trying to find out how to stay at a set weight, it's rough.

I can eat about 1/2 cup of protein chicken, beef, pork, and a few bites of veggies or fruit. Salad I am also able to eat what seems to me is quite a bit but I guess it is mostly water and chews up real well.

It depends on what it is how much I can eat. Salad I can eat quite a bit. I probably average 1/2 cup per meal. I only eat 3 times a day and I'm kinda on a funny schedule. I don't eat until early afternoon, then again at 8:30 pm, and sometimes at 1 am (thats when I get off work). I get up at 8 am everyday but just can't normally bring myself to eat.
