Default Dumping and feeling icky

Well, I thought I was gonna be one of those people who didn't get much of a reaction from eating sugar - WRONG! The first couple months after my surgery I didn't eat anything with much sugar in it. Well, the other day my husband made waffles for my granddaughter and she didn't like them. Without thinking I ate some of her waffle (with a bunch of syrup on it). OMG! I got so tired I had to go lay down RIGHT then. Man, if I would have been driving I would have had to pull over and pass out. I couldn't believe it. Now I am noticing if I eat anything with much sugar at all in it I get really sick. I guess I am glad my pouch is making me sick if I eat sugar - I just want to figure out how careful I am gonna have to be about what has sugar.
Also, I noticed lately that no matter what I eat I seem to be nauseated afterward. Has this happened to anyone else and did you figure out what was causing it.

I do know this....Bridget tells me that she KNOWS what her body can take. i think she said 13gm of sugar. I suppose, as time passes, you will learn too. Be glad that sugar upsets you....you will love that idea in the long run!

I get that many times also. I have to sit for a while until it settles in my stomach. Then a few gurgles, couple a burps and I am OK.
I think mine is cause I eat too fast. I have never thrown up though.

You had your surgery about the same time as me so maybe this is a typical thing for as far out as we are. I hate that feeling. Mine could be from eating too fast, too. I have such a hard time eating slowly!

I usually set a 10g limit on sugar and sugar alcohol combined. 2 exceptions: The cottage cheese with fruit on the side to mix (although I do eat this in a30 minute windo rather than in a 15 minute). Second, anything with milk. Since the skim milk has 13g already I try only to get 1-3 with the cereal or whatever I am having with it. I tried a cereal with 10g once, made me lose 5 lbs just from barely eating for 2 days.

No wonder I don't feel good after I drink skim milk! I didn't even think about the sugar in it! Thanks for the heads up.

You may be a little lactose intolerent too. My cut off is 5 to 7 g of sugar except for fruit. Anything more and it's dump time!
