I find it almost impossible to eat because of the pain that immediatley follows. Even water seems to want to come back up. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions. I don't know if this is to be expected and I need to learn to live with it; or if I should be pushing my doc more for intervention. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I am 4 months out and thought the surgery had cured my GERD but apparently it hasn't. I started having problems with GERD at about 2 1/2 months post-op. The difference pre-op and post-op is my heartburn now flares up if I eat carbs. Saltine crackers really set me off.
I take Nexium for my GERD. One Nexium is enough to stop the GERD for a few days.
Talk with your Doctor and insist on intervention.
