Default I finally made it home

Hello Friends,
Well I made it back home tonight after 6 scary days of being in the hospital... I am doing well now except for the pain. But I got good drugs, so it will help. I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who called or came out to see me. I really appreciated it. Especially Dad!
I am in more pain this go around, but I hope to re-cover quick.
Here is what happened in case you were not informed.
I had to go in for Emergency Laparoscopic surgery,
Everything was going great until Tuesday morning. I got up, as usual, ate breakfast around 9. At !0am I was in horrible pain right In the middle of my stomach. Pain that neither pepcid nor Mylanta would get rid of. Doubling over kind of pain. Mike Came and picked me up form Walgreen’s. I got home, things seemed to die down, and then came back. I could not take it anymore, and was afraid something terrible was wrong, so Mike took me in the the ER @ Skyridge Medical Center. Where I had my first surgery.
I was given all sorts of things to drink, and put in to my IV. Finally surgery can’t remember when exactly.
But I had an obstruction in my intestine, which caused some twisting. I also had some scar tissue in another area which was preventing things from passing. Dr. Chae Went in and fixed it all.
Well we thought all was well, but I just could not get over the pain, and was not breathing well, on my own. Well 2 Cat Scans, 2 IV’s, an ultrasound of my legs (to see if I has blood clots) and a couple of respiratory treatments later I’m finally home.
I am still in horrible pain, but nothing beats coming home to your own bed. Besides Noodles was running a muck at home Peeing in her room. I think she was ticked at me for being gone so long. Not sure what was going thru her little ol head, but she missed me too.
So anyway I hope I explained it all well enough. You can email me or call with questions or what ever!
That’s all I I can write for tonight!

Danette,
So sorry you had problems. I hope everything goes fantasticlly from now on.
Be sure you use your drugs, there is no reason to be in pain and be stoic about it.
Good Luck.

Unhappy Poor Thing!

Danette:

Wow...you've had quite a tough time lately. I hope that the worst is over now and you just need to heal. Like Marcia said, don't be brave--take your drugs! I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything goes well and I'll keep you in my prayers.

Good luck, my friend.

Default Glad you are better

I am glad you are home and in your own bed. Hopefully down, the road this will be one of those things that they say..."eventhough this happened I am still glad I had the surgery". Be well and get some rest

I am glad that you are feeling better.

I too have a crazy pain in my stomach. I saw my doctor today and he thinks I may have beginings of an ulcer. I see him again in 6 wks while I go home and take stronger acid blockers. Although pooping has been quite an event latley as well. When I go back, if I make it the 6 wks I will ask about the twisty things.

Glad your feeling better. It must be great to be home

Take care of yourself, don't do too much. What a scary thing to go through. Take time to heal and pamper yourself.

I'm so sorry you had a rough time. Remember to rest, sip, walk, etc. Double up on the rest. Soon enough you'll be past all this and be able to look back and say that it was all worth it. Complications are never fun. We're all praying for your quick and uneventful recovery!
