Default Getting frustrated!! Eat food = Tired!

I find that I get really tired after I eat. I am watching the carbs and sugar, so what I am eating is mostly protein, and if it has carbs I watch the ratio (1/2 carbs to protein ratio) then after 45-hour I feel better. So I almost feel better not eating!! Makes me want to just do protein drinks and no food as I don’t get tired on those! Anyone feel this way too? I know I am only15 days out from surgery so that is probably a big part of it, but I hate being tired like that at work.

Sorry I’m complaining so much………..

Per Bridget and I (on the phone together)... anything you do right now, you're going to be tired. You're only two weeks out sugar! It's going to take like 6 weeks to feel even semi-normal.

I still get that feeling sometimes after I eat. I am 3 mos out and usually at lunch after I eat I just sit for about an hour. I usually eat tuna and a couple crackers. Every day seems to be different.

What you are going through is because you are only 15 days out and you just had major surgery. Give your body a chance to heal a little bite.

I experience intense sleepies if I eat too much or eat to many carbs. You said that you are watching your carbs so that much not be it.

It could also be your blood sugar wacking out on you. If you have a tester around be sure to test your blood sugar.

Other than those things probably just 15 post op feelings of tired.
