Question Honeymoon period

How long does the honeymoon period typically last? I think my surgeon had said it was 12 to 18 months, but then I had heard only 4 to 6 months. In all of your experiences, what do you think?
I am just wondering because I am 3 1/2 months out now and I am nervous about this period ending, I guess.

In maintenance... now I'm yo-yoing up and down 10 lbs or so. I'm trying to find out how to stay at a set weight, it's rough.

Thanks for your reply, Bridget!
So since I started at under 300, I will have a much harder time losing weight after my 6 month mark?
So once the honeymoon period is over, does it make it harder to lose weight because you get hungry? Because you can eat larger portions? Because your body has adapted in some way? Sorry all the questions. I am just wondering, I am getting nervous because I used this software on this guy's website:
http://www.thinnerself.com/files/Expect_Chart.htm
And it said that I was only expected to get down to 150s with the rate that I have lost so far, so I am thinking I better take advantage of the honeymoon period and start working out harder and eating better. I have been eating OK but not great the past week, I even ate a few peanut M&Ms and I am trying to get back on track starting today.

Its a year? Really? I thought it was only 6 months and I have been stressing becasue I am alomost at my 6 months. So I have been thinking that I am going to really have to start working my butt off big time! So because I was over 300, I get a year huh? You mean being over 300lbs has some sort of advantage, lol? I see Dr C next in 2 days so I will ask him.

Laura Lee: thats the rumor!

Tiff: Dont worry what others tell ya. When Kim aka watergirl went to her 3 month post op, the PA told her not to expect to get to the goal, that she lost real slow and thought she may only lose approx 20 pounds at the rate she was going. Kim was still thrilled to lost the weight that she had already... well not only did she lose more, she's UNDER goal and size 4!!!!!! Just do whats good for you.. no one can predict for you what you will lose. Your body is pure science... you can have a level of expectation but it can be disspelled.
Just exercise your butt off, stay away feom carbs, drink lots of fluids and you will do awesome... you will become the size you were meant to be! No worries!

Default The chart's bunk!

I put in my values from last year to see what it says. I used the numbers from my first month. The chart said I was a slow loser and that it would take 68 weeks to lose the weight. Hmmm, I was at goal by 1 year. I lost the first 100 lbs in about 7-8 months, then hit a 5 week platuea before breaking through to goal.

Oh thank you Marie! I am so happy to see that! I was hoping the chart wasn't correct.
I think that the only way I could not get to goal is if I kept on eating Peanut M&Ms everyday. But at least its only 1 of the fun-size packs and not an entire 2 lb bag of them.
