Default What a day!!!

O.K., maybe I should post this on the emotional support section, but....naw!!!!

I think this is more about post op, the news about my hernia has been very depressing, went to see the surgeon yesterday and he says, my whole mid line is in need of repair. I guess I just did not mend well at all. hum...still wondering if the furniture moving job is to blame. Any way, I also happened to see a podiatrist for a sore toe, that has been bugging me since I dropped a dinner plate on it 6 months ago, well, come to find out, I have a peice of that damn plate in my toe and need surgery for that too!!!!

Criminnies!!!!

I am blue, like a blueberry and to top it off, my angel of a daughter got in trouble at school and its no big deal, but I feel so overload and....well....geeezz oh peets...ya know???!!!

The Dr, says the hernia repair will need to reopen the entire midline incision all over again, I am so sad!!!

The good news, maybe, is that he is sending me to plastics for a consult, he said they work together and that my hernia can wait 3 more months for my 1 year point and then maybe have a lift and tuck, so that is my next step.

Did not really think I wanted all that, could have lived with this old book, but looks like I may be sending it to a new publisher for a new cover, but the stories still the same!!!

So thats my news, feel free to cheer me up, oh yeah, and work sucks, I'll spare you the datails, but it is safe to say, getting good help is hard to do these days, which is why I always seem to be moving furniture!!!

sob, sob, sob!!!

Rain

Oh yeah, one more thing, the anemia, well Doc says no problem, "have to give you a transfusion before surgery though, should be o.k.", o boy!!!

Rain,
Ifeel your pain! I went to my orthopidist last week and he said I'm supposed to start wearing my "boot" again cause my tendons are messed up in my left foot. How in the heck can I walk if I have to wear that durn thing! I guess at some point I will have to wear it and keep wearing it for at least 6 weeks if I want this to heal!
You know I was laid off after I went back to work and it is really boring being home. I have to put a little more effort into finding a job.
Keep your spirits up!

I'm sure you hated hearing that. I couldn't help myself. I'm goofy. I'm sorry to hear about your repair and your toe. But you have a good attitude. Just look on the bright side of things.

As long as we're telling jokes to cheer you up.....

There was a guy in court for burgarly. His lawyer was argueing that the man was not responsible for the action because his arm did it. His arm reached through the window and grabbed the jewelry. The man shouldn't be sent to prison for what his arm did. So the judge said that was all well and good. The arm must go to prison for 10 years, the man can go with it or not. So the defendent looked at the judge and said thanks for understanding, took off his artificial arm and laid it on the table.

GROUND RULE #4 - THE BIG PICTURE

I heard a cute story I'd like to share. There once was a farmer who owned a horse. And one day the horse ran away. All the people in the town came to console him because of the loss. "Oh, I don't know," said the farmer, "maybe it's a bad thing and maybe it's not."

A few days later, the horse returned to the farm accompanied by 20 other horses. (Apparently he had found some wild horses and made friends!) All the townspeople came to congratulate him: "Now you have a stable full of horses!" "Oh, I don't know," said the farmer, "maybe it's a good thing and maybe it's not."

A few days later, the farmer's son was out riding one of the new horses. The horse got wild and threw him off, breaking the son's leg. So all the people in town came to console the farmer because of the accident. "Oh, I don't know," said the farmer, "maybe it's a bad thing and maybe it's not."

A few days later, the government declared war and instituted a draft of all able-bodied young men. They came to the town and carted off hundreds of young men, except for the farmer's son who had a broken leg. "Now I know," said the farmer, "that it was a good thing my horse ran away."

The point of this story is obvious. Life is a series of events, and until we've reached the end of the series, it's hard to know exactly why things are happening. That's one reason the Torah commands us to give respect to every elderly person - because through the course of life experience, they have seen the jigsaw puzzle pieces fall into place.

Rain,
My sympathies on your upcoming surgeries. I hope the toe is a minor thing and they can do it quickly. Your hernia on the other hand. . . yikes! Please feel free to let us know how you feel and what's going on.

My dear friends, thanks for listening and cheering me up!!

I have tried to look at the bright side and that may be deciding on the tt and lift. I have always wanted those perky boobies and a flat stomach, this may be the blessing in disguise.

The toe, totally minor, no big deal. I was feeling piled up on, probably had to do with my daughter, who is so wonderful, it through me off when she got off track. Well, she is fine and so am I.

Thanks for the jokes, hardy har, har!!!

You are the greatest!!!

Robin, you were so quick to respond, you are such a sweetheart!!
Amber and Dale, thanks for always knowing what to say!!
Beth, too, too funny and how true!!
Marcia, I hope you find a job soon, too. What are you lookin' for?
Nancy thanks for your kind words.

Pam, I know you know how I feel, cause you just did it. How has all turned out and why did you not persue the TT?

Rain
