I was told I was "hot." I just said "right, sure I am...but thanks" The reply I got back was this:

See you have a total ugly duckling syndrome. You're hot and don't even know it, which makes you even hotter. See, when women know they're hot, they're too self-absorbed..you on the other hand are not. You're totally approachable, even though I bet men look at you and don't think you are, that's how hot you are...but if they got to know you they would realize that not only only are you smokin' but that you're not some stupid blonde bimbo and know your sh*t.

Do men really think like this? I'm the LAST person who thinks of herself as *hot*...so when someone tells me this, I feel....errr, is weird the right word? Am I the only one who things people say this kind of stuff just to make you feel better and you really look like crap? lol Granted this person who said this to me had no idea I had the surgery...but still it's just...weird =/

Actually not to be rude or anything causeI dont know you but Ugly Duckling Syndrom means that you have been ugly for so long that you get pretty and you dont even realize it...but usually yes I believe it is true that men do think women are hot when they dont have a crappy I know I am hot attitude and live up to the sterotype of knowing they are hot and have a conceeded attitude. I hope I didnt offend at all but I have heard that Ugly Duckling Syndrom but no worries cause you are truly beautiful.

The trick is walk and carry yourself with confidence. Don't be high maintence. Guys really hate self-center, self-absorbed women.

I think he said that because I said earlier in the convo that for the longest time I didn't think I was attractive, and it wasn't till recently that my looks changed from what I was used to for so long...I didn't add it was because of my weight

Yeah Jeanie and I always just ignore everyone and the ones that give us attention just kinda are suttle enough to come up and make conversation with us like the Bouncer/Door man I flirted first with a couple weeks ago (apparently in a way from what he just told me) he has never seen before and when Jeanie went there with Sindi he asked where I was....so when we showed up Saturday low and hehold Jeanies Cowboy was talking to my Cowboy and we got in for free....hehehehe.....and now everytime we go there we will be getting in free....its all about connections ladies....lol. Why I am telling everyone this I dont know not trying to brag and I guess we just have so much fun when we go out that we like to share our adventures with ya all.

hmmmmm. I agree with the compliments that man gave you, your avatar makes you look like Beverly D'Angelo, so I bet you are pretty hot. That's cool.

I can think of something else that is a turnoff. Women who are hot, don't know it or don't believe it and totally insist that they're not hot and make the complimentor feel like theiir opinion doesn't matter. It's WAY way hot and feels really good to just relax, hear what is being said, and being able to acknowlege the compliment gracefully. Usually what I say to "you look great" compliments is "Thanks, your a dear to say so", since that's about how close I can get to accepting compliments myself.

Keep in mind that this person hasn't even met you yet, and they consider you hot. It's a lot harder than it sounds, isn't it?
