Default Words of wisdom

I am 9 weeks post op and have gone through phases asking myself "what have I done? " Well while listening to the new Bon Jovi CD "Have a nice Day " this week, I found some great words of wisdom that I am applying to where I am today and want to share, because I really feel these words are relevant to all of us.

Us newbies are dealing with starting a new beginning and we need some reminding why. I hope you all enjoy!

WELCOME TO WHEREVER YOU ARE
written by Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora & John Shanks

Maybe we're all different but we're still the same
We all got the blood of Eden running through our veins
I know sometimes it's hard for you to see
You're caught between just who you are and who you want to be

If you feel alone and lost and need a friend
Remember every new beginning is some beginning's end

Welcome to wherever you are
This is your life; you made it this far
Welcome, you got to believe
That right here, right now
You're exactly where you're supposed to be
Welcome to wherever you are

When everybody's in and you're left out
And you feel you're drowning in the shadow of a doubt
Everyone's a miracle in their own way
Just listen to yourself, not what other people say

When it's seems you're lost, alone and feeling down
Remember everybody's different; just take a look around

Welcome to wherever you are
This is your life; you made it this far
Welcome, you got to believe
Right here, right now
You're exactly where you're supposed to be

Be who you want to be
Be who you are
Everyone's a hero
Everyone's a star

When you want to give up and your heart's about to break
Remember that you're perfect; God makes no mistakes

Welcome to wherever you are
This is your life; you made it this far
Welcome, you got to believe
Right here, right now
You're exactly where you're supposed to be
And I say welcome…
I say welcome…
Welcome…

Those are great words to live by! I haven't heard the song but I like Bon Jovi so I'll have to give it a listen. I got to meet Bon Jovi at an autograph signing many years ago. I was in the 7th grade and thought that was just the coolest! I still have the autograph and pics! You're doing great on your loss. it gets easier the further out you get.

Thanks Amber, I am doing okay on my loss, trying not to compare to others, because we are all so different. I figured weight watchers says to lose about 2-3lbs a week and if I can stick with that, then I lose 100lbs in a year!

I am a Bon Jovi fan, have been for the 20 years they have been around. When I first got the CD a few days ago, I wasn't too crazy about the album as I have about previous albums. But then I actually listened to the words of the songs and this one really hit home. I was driving to my nephews football game yesterday listening to this about 10 times and realizing that I want this song to antheum of the beginning of my new life. I am not posting this because it is a Bon Jovi song, I posted the words, because they have so much meaning to where I am today!

Any maybe this tour or next I will be in the front row with a hot looking body for Jon & Richie to smile at! I would LOVE to meet them personally one day to get a picture with at least Richie if not all of the band.

That was an awesome thing for me to see this morning as I have been struggling. I always compare myself to others and only wish I could remember that I am who I am for a reason. Thanks again for the song the words really say alot.
