In maintenance... now I'm yo-yoing up and down 10 lbs or so. I'm trying to find out how to stay at a set weight, it's rough.

Unhappy

When I read other peoples weight loss I get so depressed. I had my surgery 5/13/05 and only down 62 pounds. Then I see others who have lost 100 pds or more and I think I am such a failure. What am I doing wrong/ I have hit two plateaus and every day I get more and more depressed. HELP!!

I think sizes are different now than they were when I was thin before. I don't remember being in this small a size at this weight before, but it's been so long I don't know for sure. My bariatric doc is going to do my TT around x-mas (keep your fingers crossed for me) and hopefully without the flab I'll be able to downgrade a little bit more. If I could just transplant a few ounces up to my chest I'd be thrilled. I had a reduction 4 years ago at 220lbs and now I'm down to a B cup. I haven't been a B since 4th grade! It's kind of nice though!

Vicki,

We all are different, some lose quickly, some don't. As long as you're exercising -- walking counts and not eating all the time, you're fine.

Have you ever in your life lost 62 pounds in 4 months before???? You are not a failure! You're a loser! As for plateaus, I think everyone goes through them, and even though they're discouraging, they pass. You're doing fantastic.

vICKI,

YOU ARE DOING GREAT!!!

I looked up my weight loss and at 4.5 months I had only lost 75 pounds. Not that much more than you. It took me almost 9 months to lose 100. I thought I never would, but as we are over 40 and female it takes us a bit longer.

If you want to, you can look up my photo page " Rains Photo Journal " in the members photo section. I have before and after photos and at 4.5 months was 210. Today I weighed in at 184 and still losing.

I am sure you are still losing and before you know it you will be at the 100 pound mark.

Positive thoughts!!!!

Rain

I fell exactly the same way. But I have felt this way since week one. It just seems that the whole world at times looses faster than me. I am 8 1/2 months out and am down 80lbs. But here is the kicker I have to concentrate on me. I lost 80 fricken pounds and I feel great! I have not hit 100 but I still feel great. I love hot (by the words a girl at church) My husband is very happy witht he new Barbara. Sometimes it is easier to weep with those who weep than rejoices with those who are rejoicing. Celebrate your victories and their victories.

Trust me I know how hard that is to do..... Cuz of the me factor.
