Hi, I pledge do to take my vitamins regularly; which has been inconsistent at times. I just got home from class realizing that I was REALLY tired and figured, geez, I didn't take my vitamin today, so I did. I take my Tums when I go to bed at night (a little fruity treat to chew up)!

I am a bit confused about the B12. I am 9 weeks out and have not been told to take B12. I have an appt with my PCP in a few weeks to check all my blood work, including vitamin levels. Should I start B12 weekly or wait until I meet with my PCP?

Also, does our time of the month effect our vitamin/nutrient levels? Just curious if PMS might get worse if vit levels are low.

Dr's C and P told us to take it (B12) once a week subcutaineously (under the tongue).

Thumbs up I Swear to Continue

Bridget,

We've talked about this before. I'm too paranoid and OCD not to take my vitamins religiously every day. I'm so afraid that I'll suffer some horrible deficiency and never forgive myself for having elective surgery! I know, I know...it's extreme. But it's what keeps me in line!

But I love ya, girl, for bringing this up.

Ferrous Fumerate is the way to go...Ferrous Sulfate binds you up and is harder on your stomach.

I have the same problem. Here is what I do and it has helped A LOT. I take a stool softner every night with the vitamins. Helps keep you regular. I have the equate one with a very mild laxative in it. I still sometime get a little backed up (if ya know what I mean), so I will start taking two a night, for a few nights and it fixes the problem.
