Feel like i have stopped losing
I have not lost any weight in a week. I dont know what is going on. I am so hungry these last 2 weeks. My tummy just growls all the time. I am still on pureed foods. I just never thought i would stop losing this early post op.
Also i think it is bad, but i can eat a whole 6 oz of yogurt. This early post op i should not be able to eat that much! Right?

You may not be taking in enough calories. Up your calories and your water intake. You should start losing again. That is what happened to me.

Yogurt is like a liquid. It goes right through ya. Try eating refried beans, cottage cheese, sliced cheese. get some protein into your diet. Yogurt isn't the best choice. I ate a lot of Chili beans post-op. It became quite a joke between some of us. Good luck I hope this helps.

Danette I have also stopped losing! I haven't lost anything for a week neither!!!!!!!! It is frustrating. I am positive it is just a lull but it still sucks. I can eat about 4 oz of yogurt at one time. I can eat a lot more than I thought I would be able to.

Yeah me too. It is really scary, dont you think? Glad i am not alone!
I was eating Refried beans, and cottage cheese, I only eat yogurt every once in a while actually. I am trying to figure out whether dairy agrees with me anymore.
It just seems like i am always hungry. It is frustrating!

I think a lot of my problem is that I am bored. I want to eat when I am bored. I need to establish an exercise program too. I am positive I am not doing enough to get my heart going. I had turkey and cheese last night and that sat very well and made me feel full for a long time. I am careful with the dairy as well. Yogurt sits fine but too much cheese or diet ice cream or pudding does not sit well. I do think it is totally scary that we have gone through this surgery and even though we KNOW we will lose weight we let our minds psyche us out to think that we have already failed! Which is so not true. I think our bodies need a breather once in a while. Not to mention our minds!!!!!!!!!!

It is normal to be able to eat that much soft food. And totally normal to stop lossing for a week or so. Your body has just gone through and terrible trama. It is in shock.
Treat your body with the utmost respect and love. this will pass soon. Trust me it is normal.

I cant wait until i can start eating more soft foods. I am so sick of pureed. I dont get to try like chicken salad, tuna salad, lasagne, or even cheese, until week 5. It's almost over. Monday will be my week 5 so yeah!
