Danette, good for you for not weighing. Give your scale to your best friend and weigh again at your 3 month mark, then not again until your 6 month mark. It helps not to have it around..... really it does.

But then how will i track my weekly progress? I was planning on keeping a log, of my weekly weightloss, and montly measurements. Should i maybe only do it every month instead? Do both my weight & measurements every month? I see where all these people keep such great record of their progress.

A record for what? Recording being nuerotic.. lol Sorry I dont mean to poke fun. What is important is your long term success. Learning new habits, learning how to stop obsessing about your weight and food. It would be one thing to want to track your weightloss, out of curiosity but it seems as though you are measuring your failures not your success. Instead of having the attitude of "Yeah Im still losing weight", or "Yeah Im not gaining weight" or "Yeah Im beating head hunger, I finally have control over my food etc.,"
You are dwelling on what is NOT happening. Do ya see my point. You dont have to keep a record, your clothing does that for you. When you put on your pants and they fit loosely, when the seams of your shirts are hanging off your shoulders. Thats a record you can feel. When you look in the mirror you cant see it, not many can anyway. Not in the beginning. Relax and enjoy yourhoneymoon period, it should not be the tortourous!

No worries, but dont be in denial either. Dont do one thing and the post another here. Im not saying you will do that, but some do. If you say you will try something and you fail, big deal at least you tried... and this is commendable!
Enjoy your honeymoon period, there is plenty of time to freak out, ths time right now needs to be used to adjust. Your gonna do great Dannette, and then a year from now you are going to come across old posts and laugh so hard you would have peed your pants.. as you would have being 100+ pounds overweight!

No really I will try to not weigh everyday. I am going to only weigh 1 time a week. I figure that will be plenty. Maybe i will tell my hubby to only give me the scale every Monday morning.

Danette, I did the same thing. I am so over weighing myself. I have put my scale away in a box. I just can't stand to get on it anymore.
