Anyone know when you can start to swallow pills after GBS?

I am taking a multivitamin (chewable), Calcim (chewable), Vit B12 Liquid....am I supposed to take an iron supplement as well? I tried liquid iron....barfaroni!

Pretty sure that you can take any prescribed medications. If it's a specific pill that was not prescribed you should maybe call your surgeon and just ask.

Children's Chewable Vitamins usually have adequate Iron.

Liquid vitamins are okay, I remember taking vitamins just fine whole after surgery... no worries darlin'!

I swallowed pills right away with no problems. If it was a big horse pill and I could cut it in half, I did that, so it wouldn't feel stuck.

Wow, okay. What about if you have a headache for example? Can you take over-the-counter asprin and stuff? I wonder if some meds are to strong for our tiny stomachs?

As far as liquid vitamins.....I only have one word for you....Disgusting!!!! Barf! Yuck! Okay, that was 3 words....but you get the picture~

NO ASPIRIN!! Take Tylenol. I can take 2 ex gel tabs together with no trouble. I also take Centrum Silver vit. Big sucker! still no problem.
