Default Mucus in stool?

Okay so I woke up this morning with severe diarrhea, and all day, have felt like I still have it. When I go now, though, I release a ton of gas, and only produce some mucous and a little blood. It's not a lot, but it concerns me. The only thing I can think of that may have caused this is that I had some popcorn last night. I've had popcorn before, but only a handful one other time. Last night I probably ate about two cups (popped). I haven't had any pain, so I don't think anything's stuck anywhere. I'm three months post-op so I have started to experiment. How concerned should I be about this?

I would suggest you contact your surgeon right away. It's not normal to have blood in your stool. And I don't think popcorn would cause such an issue o.O Good that you're not in pain - so it doesn't sound like an anal fissure or tear - but I'd be a bit concerned about the blood. You don't have a hemorroid do you?

Were you recently on an antibiotic? C-diff is a common gut bacteria that grows after taking an antibiotic and is also very contagious.
