18 day stall anyone?
have any of you all experienced a LOOOONG stall? I had an 8 day stall at week 2 and I am 6 weeks out tomorrow and haven't lost an ounce in 18 days! I have lost 27 lbs since surgery and 48 lbs. total since the pre-op diet. I know it's bound to come off and the more you weigh the faster it will come off... but there is little voice in my head saying "what if this is it?" haha. Crazy but I'm sure we have all had those thoughts! anyway... 18 day stalls anybody!??!!

I stalled for 30+ days more than once. It's all about your body adjusting. And as many will tell you, not only will it pass, but while you are stalled, you're most likely losing inches.
Hang in there. It will happen for you.

yup, I've had two stalls that each lasted a month.
it happens... just be sure you're tracking what you're eating and how much your exercising, and adjust one or the other as needed. I've definitely accidentally fallen into starvation mode before because I wasn't paying attention to what I was eating.

I was stalled from like feb 18 until about march 7. BUT, i have lost three pounds since....as long as i weigh in the afternoon...after i pee, get naked, take the rubber bands out of my hair, my nose is blown and my nail polish is removed. Otherwise, i have only lost two pounds since 3/7.
From what I hear, after a long stall like that --- the weight just falls off. Boy, i hope that is true.
You will be fine. You are not alone. Search stalls, you will see it happens to everyone.

Yep happens to me all the time. The other thing I have noticed is that my weight will creep up a few pounds, has never been more than 3lbs at a time and then all of a sudden a week later I will be down 10 for an actual loss of 7 or it creeps up 2lbs and then I lose 8 etc. Just seems to be a pattern for me. My surgeon said this was totally normal and your bodies way of catching up and adapting to the constant change.
Track your food, make sure you are getting enough fluid and protein. It will happen.

Oh, I can top that! How about an entire month? 30 days. My whole sixth month post-op. Did not lose one ounce.

I guess I'm just weird.. because I am stalled more than I lose.
I tend to stall for 3-4 weeks and then right before I start my period, I lose 10-12 pounds. It's sucks SOOOO much, but it's how my stupid body works so I just have to smile and nod.

I win- 5 weeks stalled- from the end of week TWO to the end of Week EIGHT.
But I point this out only to let others know that yeah, stalls happen and then they usually end at some point.. and I still lost 100 lbs by the six month 'surgiversary'.
To those looking to read about the stalls here on the forum.. go to the advanced search button and do a search on the tag "stall".. many stall threads are tagged for your reading enjoyment and edification. lol.
Mine is here.. my second post here on the forum back in '08:
Frustrated and Depressed..
Enjoy
