Question I am almost to the point of "Not Worth It"

OK, I have searched out some past posts about STRICTURE. I think I might have one.

I have thrown up everything I have eaten for nearly a week. I now absolutely DREAD eating. Yesterday I forced my self to have a 1/2 cup of yogurt, that's it. Guess what, I threw up most of it.

I can't even get down liquids. All the liquids I try make me nauseous and sick. Just the smell of them is all it takes to put me over the edge.

I am chewing, chewing, chewing. I am eating slow. I am back to soft foods and liquids (Yogurt and cheese are the only two things I feel safe eating, and todayh, even they made me throw up.

Ok, on these past posts, I found... A stricture is a narrowing and they do a EGD... What's that?

On an up note, I have lost 43.5 pounds in 6 weeks...

Katrina,

Walk away from your computer and call your doctor. This is a serious matter. You can become deheydrated very quickly. CALL THE DOCTOR!!!

Let us know what the doctor says and what happens.

Love ya I'll say a prayer for you.

Default Does it get better?

Vannessa,

I see in past posts you also had a stricture. Is it better? (Just looking for hope...)

I am waiting for a call back from Doc. I will keep you all informed. Thanks for caring!

Default Doc called back...

Ok, I am back on liquids.

They suggested that I go back on liquids and stop taking my iron supplement (in case that is irritating my pouch) to let my pouch "rest". They will call back tomorrow to see if there is any improvement.

They will decide tomorrow if I need to go in to have a Stricture procedure.

So, I guess I can have soup again!

I think I might kill for a piece of beef and a salad. I don't even miss sugar or dessert! LOL

Katrina, It does get better.. but if you have a stricture it won't get better UNLESS you call your doctor. I had 3 strictures and a rough time and I honestly didn't think I would ever be able to say I was gald I had my surgery. BUT it does get better and I am feeling better than ever. So please don't delay call dr.
