Default Anyone NOT cut their hair?

OK ladies.....any of you stick it out thorugh the hair loss stage and NOT chop your hair off? I would really like to avoid cutting my hair but the stories I have heard are all of having horrible lookinga nd feeling hair and the only solution being cutting it. I experience really drastic hair loss and drying/breaking of my hair after the birth of my children usually starting at about 6 months and lasting 4-6 months. I have had c-sections (4) so I deal with anestesia and surgery recovery plus I breast fed which, in me, made me nauseous (don't know why?) with the last 2 so my eating wasn't the greatest for the first 6 months or so. My regrowth from my youngest who is 20 months is just about 5 inches long now and my hair is fairly healthy, albeit frizzy (ARGH!) SO I have survived bad hair for the last couple of years and i am hoping that I will survive this next round of bad hair days too, HAS ANYONE ELSE?

My hair is down to my waist (well where my waist will be ) and I don't mind cutting it up to mid back or so but I don't want to have to chop it all off. But then again maybe I will want to

I don't know if it happens to everyone but it has happened to me. Why don't you just wait and see and then if it needs to be cut you can always cross that bridge later on. With it falling out, it seems like it looks a little healthier and thicker with it short, at least on me.

Cool Didn't do it!!

I didn't cut mine! I couldn't, mine was already thinning at surgery, I wasn't about to cut it after. I saved all of mine as I lost it, sick huh? (I'm gonna make a pin cushion) as I'd clean out my brush everyday I put it in a quart ziploc baggie..... it's full!!
It's finally stopped coming out, it's still thin, but what DID fall out seems to be coming back in a bit, not sure that it'll ever come back in all the way though, even though Kelly said it would come back, she actually looked right at me during an early post op meeting and said, "I promise, Sandi, it'll grow back...." Only time will tell....
But, I'd rather have a healthier, slimmer body, and not worry about keeling over because of my morbid obesity, than a head full of hair any day!
I'm no longer wearing clothes that begin with a 6, or a 5 or a 4 or even a 3 or a 2, I'm now wearing clothes that begin with, to use Bridget's word, a "freakin' "1.... yes 18's...
I haven't done that in over 40 years!!!!!!! Christina told me today that I needed to post that, so, Kina, this for you sweet girl!!
Hair?? Who needs hair, I can enjoy my life and my husband and son now for many years to come, and from what Dr. Callery said, I'd probably have been gone by now!!!

Default I want to keep my hair!!!!

I'm about a month and a half into the hairloss phase and trying to stick it out. It is getting thinner and seems quite a bit dryer on the ends. I'm probably going to get it trimmed up next weekend but also am trying to avoid the chop off. Mine is only about 6 inches below my shoulders but it is so much more flattering to my face long than the bob that I used to wear was.

I am starting to shed not too bad yet I am hoping it does not get bad for me I hate to say it but with my hair I am vain . My hair is to my butt. I just had it trimmed 6 inches not that you can tell.I have not had a professional hair cut in over 10 years! I usually do it my self but I decided to get a good cut to thicken up the ends and I had it highlighted. ( I was hormonal during my pregnancy and after 15 years of being blonde I dyed it auburn ) So I am right here withcha!

Default Had long hair

It kept getting shorter and shorter and I finally did it. It is very short now. I lost so much hair and the hair that I had left was so damaged and just coated with anesthesia from all of the surgeries I have had. Everyone likes my new look and I just think to myself....."it is only hair"...it WILL grow back.

Thumbs up Hair Loss

I had really thin baby fine hair before surgery and still do now. I did cut my hair though, but it was because it was so dry and brittle that my hairdresser took matters into his own hands.. (it's HIS hair afterall.. lol) Anyway I cut it to my shoulders and now the hair that fell out is down to my shoulders again and the rest to the middle of my back. I could have stuck it out but with going under anesthesia twice in 24 hours with surgery it really did a number on my hair.. that and coloring it didn't help.. so I do suggest that during the hair falling out stage you don't color your hair cause it damages it that much worse.. argh!!!

Sandi.. I am so proud of you girlfriend.. I can't believe that you didn't even realize that you are in clothes starting with a 1!!! I knew you were so happy about being in that size.. but it never occurred to you.. I'm glad I could point it out for ya.. Love ya girl..

Well if I don't color my hair then my husband and kids may not recognize me. I have been blonde for 9 years and my natural color is REALY dark I don't bleach I use a toner and I only do the regrowth every month about 1/2 inch so I think I will be alright. I have fine hair but tons and tons of it. (actually some of it is fine and some of it is frizzy...that is what having kids did otmy hair) I know I will just have to wait and see but I thought i'd see if anyone made it without a cut
