Default early post op questions

Ok. I know I am only a few days post op but I have some questions. When should I expect to feel hunger again? When will I feel better (i.e. not sore and tired)? When will I feel "cravings" for certain foods like sweets or salt, etc.? Not that I want too

Thanks

Hi Hollie. I am 2 1/2 months out and I still never feel hungry. I have to remind myself to eat. (who woulda thought that!) I was feeling a lot better by 2 weeks out, I was never really sore from the surgery except for where they took my gallbladder out. I had a lot of scar tissue that was removed so that was my sore spot, once I had the drain taken out I was much better. Just remeber to rest walk and sip, sip sip!

Hey,

I am just over 5 weeks out, and I am not ever hungry yet, either. In fact, I hate to eat now, which is not really healthy either, so I am working on that too. I was never really sore from surgery, but I am still more fatiqued than I would have expected.

My business partner and my husband, both are adjusting to me not eating, since I have always been their best eating partner. Not just me who has to adjust to the surgery.

I'm two months post op and my hunger has returned. But it's not that ravenous hunger I used to get. Suzy

I'm 10 days post op and sometimes I feel hungry, my doctor says that it is completly normal that I think it's hunger but it's just my stomach reacommodating, after a while they go away. About the soreness I felt it the first 7 days but right now I'm feeling super uber great, my doctor was amazed since day 1 how great I recuperated and felt, he even joked about it saying he looked like he just had the surgery and not me.

I don't feel hungry per se, I just realize I'm light headed, or feeling weak, and think I should eat something. Who woulda thunk it???

Sore will go away in a week or two, tired hasn't gone away yet for me, and I'm 6 wks post-op. I had some cravings for sweets or whatever, but it truly was head hunger not tummy because everything I craved made me sick. I thought shrimp sounded wonderful -- hah!

I started feeling hunger after 5 months. The cravings for sugar n stuff wont come on unless you eat sugar. Sugar triggers more sugar cravings. So watch what you eat. Carbs can do it to, trigger sugar cravings.
