Default Is There an Average Weight Lost Range?

I'm curious to know if there's an average range of weight lost that an individual should be within after the GBS. For example, if a person is 6 weeks post op, should they have lost between the range of 20-30 lbs or 20-40lbs, etc. I understand that every individual is different, I guess I'm just feeling a little left behind with my weight lost of only 29 lbs after 7 weeks post op, even though I exercise at the gym 3x/week and watch my carbs intake. Some people I've talked to that had surgery +/- a day within my surgery date has lost 33-48 lbs. I figured that the average weight lost should be approx. 20 lbs per month, if that's the case, then I have 1 week to lose 11 lbs. Am I feeling discourage for nothing, or should I be concerned?

Like everyone keeps saying to me. No matter what, you will loose, your body has no option. I'm about 5 weeks out and I was really feeling like I was "behind" also. I can guarantee you that if you talk to your surgeon, he'll tell you not to worry about it. Your body is just adjusting on it's own time.

My biggest fear is that I'll stop losing weight before all the weight comes off!

I wouldn't worry about how much you've lost, but just worry that you are losing and the weight will eventually come off. You will just drive yourself nuts if you obsess over it. I think age could probably be a factor also. I'm only 21 and about 8 weeks out and have lost 44 pounds from my highest of 255. Everyone is definetly different in how the weight comes off. Some may lose more pounds than inches and vice versa. I feel like I lose way more inches than pounds for sure.

I would like to thank everyone for their input. I've finally come down off that Plateau and losted another 2 lbs. I hope I'm on a roll. It looks likes this will be a lot slower than I expected.
