Default Are you still taking chewable vitamins?

Hi All,

I am 13 months post-op and was wondering if most or any of you still take the chewable vitamins. I would like to try taking just a regular kind of vitamin for a change. What do you do?

Thanks,
Kerry

I do still use chewables bariatric vitamins. I also use some gelcaps of other supplements, that I suck a bit to soften before swallowing.. (umm..some of them don't have great flavor, lol)

And I take a couple tablets that are on the small side that I just swallow.

For me, I don't like the bloated feeling I get when I drink to swallow the reg. vitamins so I went back to chewables. It just took too much fluid at once to get them down.

I take the chewable multi-vitamin and vitamin C but take my iron, calcium, zinc and vitamin D in pill form. Just a matter of personal preference. My surgeon was fine with me going back on pills at 3 months out.

The chewables were making me nauseous. Now I use ENS from Celebrate, which is a drink mix. I use Upcal D for my calcium, which is powder that you mix in your drink. I get my iron and D3 from pills that I swallow. And I use the B12 patch.

No, I take a multi-vitamin - Centrum Silver because of my age - in pill form. I get B-12 from the B-12 patch, and calcium pills.

Thanks for the info! I am B12 deficient so I do injections for that.

I will be 2 YEARS out next month (wow) and i STILL take chewable vitamins (bariatric formula kind only. Building Blocks) and my labs are perfect every 6 months so i'm going to continue with those. They are still the best way we absorb them, but if your going to do regular vits now i still suggest a bariatric type of vitamin

I take chewable adult multivites and calcium, liquid iron and dissolvable B12 strips. I am nearly five years out and consistently perfect lab result. Chewables and liquids absorb better.

I use Celebrates non-chewable multi and calcium. I take everything in pill form, can't stand the taste of the chewables.
