ask your doc. mine has that we should stay away from extremely spicey things. i think its because it can really irritate the pouch.

I don't eat hot sauce, but I do make my own salsa and I like it HOT! The store bought stuff is too mild and, for me, hot sauce is too vinegary. I haven't had a problem with it, but then I don't eat it every day, all day long. But, yeah...ask your doctor.
Coming from San Anto, you can't help but to eat chile!*lol*

Although I don't like stuff that burns my mouth, I do like spicy food and can eat it no problem.

i love spicy food and hot sauce on everything pre-op
post-op well the not drinking with your food or after for an amount of time has put a damper on my Tapatio(my favorite hot sauce) i have downgraded to Tabasco but not on everything anymore and not in the amounts i used to cover my food with.

I've had hot sauce on everything from very early on.. Tabasco, home made hot sauce, anything... haven't had any problems with it at all.

I have no problem eating hot and spicy foods although it was close to 6 months out before I was allowed to eat it.

This is all good to hear and I'm hoping I can tolerate spicy stuff after my surgery like many of you can. I'm a total jalepeno freak! ~ Chris

I use franks hot sauce and I haven't had a problem with it. Now I don't go crazy with it, but I do add it to a lot of my food.
