Default Tell me if this is too much at 2 weeks out! Please...

I'm feeling exceptionally well today. Energy and all!!

Did you guys have crackers early on. I found myself having 3 today - low fat/club crackers. I had 5 yesterday w/crab dip. Not sure if I'm developing a bad habit. You girls can certainly let me know.

What habits have you guys started. I'm only two weeks out a so far, I don't have any food aversions. I'm on soft foods/solid once per day.

Food:

BF 1 egg/w - 1/4 oz cheese
SN 20 gram soy protein w/water
LU 3 crackers w/ tablespoon of crab dip
DN - tuna stuffed w/crab meat (1 1/2 oz)
SN 20 gram soy protein w/water
sugar-free, fat free popcicle

Does that sound like the right think to eat at this stage. Just your thoughts! I'm down 20 lbs so far. But, I am in the honeymoon phase. So that doesn't count now.

Thumbs up Crackers

Crackers and cheese are my weakness. I LOVE to eat them. I will eat about 5 low fat triscuit crackers with a piece of 2% cheese for snack, and sometimes for dinner. I think there are worse things I can be eating other than crackers.
I think in the soft food stage we were told that you could eat corn chips, so I think a low fat cracker is better than some corn chips. I'm not one to say if you are eating to much because my Dad was basically bullying me to eat the first 6 weeks post op. I just didn't want to eat anything. I wish I had that problem now.

I can imagine it's annoying answering these newbie questions. And I'm sorry if I'm annoying anyone.

I'm so new and I don't want to start off wrong. I'm paranoid about everything and I haven't found a support group yet. So hang in there with me, and I promised I'll get better.

Thanks to all!!

Hey now, thats what this forum is for... supporting the newbie's! What your eating sounds okay to me. Just remember to chew slowly... thats the best advice i can give you at this point, oh yeah and to stay away from bread and tortillas for 3 months... I remember eating Rye Krisp cracker with Cream Cheese spread on top of it.. loved it!
Keep up the great work, and YOUR NEVER A BOTHER!

Sounds like your doing great to me! I found these wonderful baked garlic and cheese pita chips. They are really crunchy and I think 5 of them have 5 grams of protein. I have them with tuna salad or chicken salad, jut need a little something to crunch

The only annoying question is the one not asked. How can people learn if you don't ask a question? As far as I'm concerned every question is a good question!

Talkin' about crackers. I just got back from Target and I bought some artichoke dip and thought what wil I use to eat it with... I looked at crackers, Triscuits, the low fat brand have 21 grams of carbs in 9 crackers! Holy moly, The Muti Grain Wheat thin was 7 crackers and 22 grams if I remember correctly. I went the safe route and got Tortilla Chips, 24 chips has only (he he) 17 grams of carbs..... dammmm you cracker industry! So good, yet so bad!
