Default Severe knee pain.....

I have no idea what is wrong with my knee. I go back to the Dr this afternoon. I was their Monday he said it was siatica but the back pain is gone and I can barely put any weight on my knee to walk. I am in constant pain. . He gave me vicodine (sp?) and it is doing nothing. I am not sure what if anything else he can give me for pain as I am not sure what my pouch can handle.

It can handle vicodin, dont worry about it. Did you fall or something....?

No I didn't fall or anything. I thought it was my siatica at first because I also had back pain on the same side. But the back pain was from Aunt Flo. The only pain I have now is my knee and it is so bad. It is a little swollen but now much and the pain is constant. I leave for the Dr in 20 min hopefully he will have some answers for me.

Well I went to the Dr and he said I have Bursitis. It is very very painful. I have to see a pain managment Dr on the 23. He gave me new pain meds he told me that they would not make me as loopy as the vicodin. So I went to have it filled and my pharmacist tells me that she can not fill the script because I take Zoloft and I could have a drug interaction! Thank GOD I have all my scripts filled at the same place or it would not have been caught. I am now waiting for the Dr to call the pharmacy in the morning and give her a new script for the pain.

Maybe have your Doc give you Lortab...the liquid form of vicodin....I know that it works instantly and much better than the pill for me....I malabsorb most pills....just a thought.

I hope your knee feels better soon..maybe toridol will help...our pouches can handle that and it is non-narcotic, but works well.

I didn't see that you can't take Vicodin, so maybe the Torridol will help...hope something will help you with the pain.

Thanks Dale I will ask him. I am taking vicodin now but it makes me loopy and with 4 kids to run after it's a little hard, being all foggy and trying not to give in and take a nap lol.

I do pretty good with the Vicodin, but better with the Lortab because I of course can absorb all of the liquid much better. I have 3 kids to chase and that is enough....I can't imagine running after 4...I hope it gets better for you.
