Nausea
I had a lot of problems with nausea. Would almost feel like throwing up all the time. I talked to the doctor and they prescribed Regolin for the nausea. That seemed to work. I also know if you drink or eat to fast you will have problems.
hope that helps.

I was nauseous a lot in the beginning, too. I was prescribed Reglan for nausea when I was pregnant and it didn't work for me. I would be safe and let your doctor know what is going on.

I was in the same boat! Call your doc! I keep a bottle of the stuff he gave me on hand just in case but this should pass. Also, if you are using milk with your protein shakes that may be part of the problem. I developed lactose intolerance-BAD after wls. Try mixing it with crystal light or soy milk for a few days and see if that helps you out.

I was sick to the stomach a lot in the beginning and it turned out it was my potassium level. I would have your doctor check that.

I was also very nauseous following wls. The Doctor prescribed zofran, and it worked immediately. The nausea only lasted for about a month and then it went away. It came back after i had my gallbladder out last month and it just went away a week ago. I think its how are bodies recover from surgery. I would call your doc! keep us posted

You may be drinking too much liquid, which sometimes makes you feel like you're dumping but you're just over-full. Try taking 1/2 of your protein mix, let is sit for 20 minutes, and see if that's better. Liquid can be the hardest thing on your stomach after surgery -- even 6 months out. I still have problems if I drink too soon before or after eating.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Wahoo, what a ride."

Hi
Either you are dumping due to the milk. I can not drink milk or yoghurt anymore because of the lactose.
Another reason to the "sick" feeling can be the low intake of food. The only way to break the bad circle is to increase the intake. There is not much or nothing in saltines that makes you feel any better. You body needs nutrision, if you are on soups try soups with alot of protein in them mixed meat or if you make a fruitsmoothie you can add a raw egg.
Sorry for the bad english it is my second language.
hugs
Lovisa

I've also had problems with nausea. I was taking two nausea pills (Promethezine) a day, but my surgeon increased my protein and told me to eat more meals per day (instead of 3 meals I'm trying to eat 6 mini meals now) in order to fight the nausea; and my nausea has gotten better since I increased protein and try to get in more food. Try to eat meat, cheese, cashews, beans (anything w/ protein) in small amounts throughout the day. Try sipping on your protein drink... if you can drink it at all. I once got sickened by my protein drink too; so I cut it out for 2 weeks and then went back with no problem. I use the Designer Whey Protein from Wal-Mart; one 6 oz glass of milk mixed with the protein drink has 25 g's of protein. I make it frothy (it tastes much better, even after the bubbles die down, which is when I drink it).

I had problems with nausea as well and I was also put on the "infamous" Reglan to control it. It works so call your doc and see if they can help you out.
