Thumbs up Exercising Again!

I had to post this because it's taking me a while to get back into the swing of things again, but seeing Kim at the bbq this past weekend and how great her new little body looks, has inspired me to get my a$$ in gear and get back to exercising!

I weighed myself yesterday and am stagnant. The reason? I'm not exercising! So, I told myself, "All you need to do to get the scale to start moving again is to start exercising! Your body is going to get firm, you will see the weight come off quicker and you are going to feel great!"

So, this morning, my alarm went off at 3:50 and I got up finally at 4:00 a.m. I had packed my gym back last night so I wouldn't have any excuses to not go. I got dressed in my cute shorts and top, put my hair up, grabbed my coffee, kissed my husband good-bye and headed off to the gym at work. My work out lasted 1/2 an hour while listening to hard rock to get me motivated and going.

Let me tell you that I feel so awesome! After my work out, I took a shower and got dressed and came upstairs to begin my busy work day at 5:00.

Keep on inspiring me everyone and I will do the same for you. I can't wait to show you all the results! I can't wait to see them either!

I admire people who can get up and exercise in the morning! I am soooo not a morning person that it would be like torture to me. I am jealous of those of you that can do it! Congratulations on doing something that makes you feel great!

Default Awww Irela!

You so totally ROCK!!!!! That is so cool to know that I've inspired you to do something that is healthy! That makes me feel so good. And what a nice compliment!

Starting is so much harder than continuing. That is how I started my excersise routine. I started out slow. Walking for a half hour, then 35 min., then 40, then, 45 and so on, but every day. I'm not perfect, I didn't start excersising until I was 5 months out, I know, my bad. But I started eating more and not losing as much weight. I became frightened - I knew I had to do something. Preparing for the Breast Cancer 3 Day walk in October has been my motivation. I have to be physically fit in order to walk 60 miles in three days. I welcome anyone to come join our walking on Sunday mornings. Last Sunday we walked from Torrey Pines lifeguard tower number 4 to La Jolla Shores, South of the pier. It was a 12 mile walk on the beach.

Irela, you did a great job in explaining how you feel afterwards, because it is an awesome feeling to know that you've done IT! You'll sleep better and feel better all day long.

I'm here to cheer you on - one step at a time! Rock on sister girl!

Default You don't need hours of exercise to get results.....

Any activity helps. The key is to stay active all day. Why sit when you can stand, why stand when you can walk, and why walk when you can run I do crunches and walk in place during commercials. I park far away. I take the stairs. I only do about 20-30 minutes of formal exercise 2-3 x week on the Bowflex. (Well, I was before having PS). Unless you're training for an event, don't make it a goal to get in 1-2 hours a day of exercise.

You know my honey and I have really kicked our butts back into gear and we are about to bring Kina with us to the 4-5 day a week workout. I would love to workout in the morning to so maybe I'll set my alarm 30 mins early and try to work out then to. I want to get these last 20-25lbs off and gone for good. All the talk about working out on here helps so much because it keeps it on my mind so I can't forget or say I'm to tired because you guys are all doing as much if not more than me in a day and still working your butts off at the gym...LOL Thanks Guys

Thanks for the inspiration! I'm doing Curves 3 to 4 days a week but I'm really getting bored with it! I think I'll just increase my walking for a week or two and then get back in to it. I would love to take yoga and if I can find a class around here I'm gonna do it for sure! The hard thing for me is find a day class since I work nights but if worse comes to worse I'll go get a beginners DVD>

Talking EXERCISING also

I started back exercising by joining Curves. Curves is great because yo don't even realize that you are exercising, and then the workout is over. I would recommend it to those of you who would rather not be exercising like me..it is a great environment for women..sorry no men allowed Curves has helped me to get a different perspective on exercising, and I think that getting up and moving is a huge key to losing the weight and keeping it off. Right now the summer is free at some curves and the enrollment fee is half off. So you save some money, and get a nice workout for 30 minutes 3 days a week. As you can see I enjoy it... Take care all

It's dark, damp, and a bit nippy down by the coast!
