Default I Only Lost 1 Pound This Week

I only lost one pound this week, is that normal for 3 months out, I have lost a total of 67 pounds. I don't feel like that is enough. Is it normal to have a week were you don't lose much?

Suzanne,

Congrats on all your success! I am pre-op, but have read so many posts in preparation for this surgery. Yes, that is totally normal. Your body will eb and flow as it adjusts to all the changes. Keep eating right and exercising and it will all shake out in the end......they say to trust the process. Good luck and awesome job!

I am only 3.5 weeks out and had about 5 days where I not only didn't lose but gained 2.5 lbs. I was freaking out but after about 5 days of stalling the weight is falling off again.

i've been way lucky with the amount of weight i've lost. once i lost only 3 pounds in a week, but then i lost 12 the next. its hard to know or even predict how its going to come off. i think it also depends on exersize, are you building lean muscle as the weight comes off. inches is the real indicator. i have lost 35 inches since my surgery. oh what a feeling. keep up the good work and it will come.

It's normal! I hate to tell you it'll happen again. You may have weeks where you don't lose at all. Just try not to sweat it. Read some of the old threads on Plateaus!

I had my surgery 2 weeks ago & I'm stuck between a 16lb-19lb loss. I'm not surprised by this. I had to struggle for any ounce I'd lose before the surgery & I suppose that's just what my body is accustomed to. I've decided to weigh myself once a week so I wont freak out as much over the numbers. Today is my 1st follow up visit with the Dr.
